Marc Jenkins joined Learfield as COO in January 2014 to provide key senior leadership for the company’s collegiate multimedia rights business, digital and licensing endeavors, and ticketing and concessions joint ventures. He is intimately involved with the management, oversight and transition of Learfield’s acquired companies as well. Jenkins is the former Vice President, Digital Media for NASCAR, where he led efforts for the entire digital media spectrum and managed more than 60 employees. He also served as General Counsel for MLB’s Chicago White Sox and previously worked with Morgan Stanley and Cravath, Swaine & Moore corporate law firm in New York. In 2012, he was recognized by SportsBusiness Journal as a “Forty Under 40” recipient.

Michael joined Care.com in 2012 after a two-year stint as VP of Marketing for Patch.com, AOL’s hyper local digital media network of 1,000+ news and community sites, where he was responsible for all B2C and B2B marketing efforts to significantly grow audience and revenue. Prior to Patch, Michael co-founded a mobile start-up and before that served for three years as COO and VP of Marketing for the award-winning America’s Army video game franchise. Under his direction, the game’s popularity nearly doubled to more than 11 million players and was recognized by the marketing industry with two EFFIEs, a Jay Chiat Award and five Guinness World Records. Before his more recent ventures in the tech industry, Michael’s first career was as an officer in the U.S. Army where he served in various troop-leading roles that included command of 100+ soldiers in a combat deployment as part of Operation Enduring Freedom immediately following the 9/11 attacks. Upon his unit’s safe return home, Michael taught economics and finance at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. Michael was selected as a “Top 40 Under 40 Military/Veteran” (Civilian Jobs News, 2010) and is a recipient of the General George C. Marshall Foundation Leadership Award. Michael holds a B.B.A in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Betsy Grider is a Chief Strategy Officer at Patron Technology and Advisor at Sparkfly and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has worked as Account Executive at Two by Four, Sports Technology Awards Judge at The STA Group, and Duke Sports Photography Editor at The Chronicle of Higher Education. Betsy attended Duke University between 2000 and 2004 and UNSW.
