Determines technical and positioning factors to obtain quality images. Determines appropriate technique, positioning and shielding in order to minimize radiation exposure and maintain ALARA guidelines where applicable. Makes patient care related judgments and implements appropriate actions within legal, professional, and ethical standards. Explains procedures to patient and answers questions or concerns. Observes patient for distress or difficulty and reports such incidents to appropriate staff. Assists in the development of others through guidance and teaching.
