Paul and Joe was started as a menswear company in 1995, by Sophie Albou, also known as Sophie Mechaly, a French designer.
In 1995, the young designer decided to launch her own brand Paul & Joe, named after her two young boys, Paul and Joe.
Thereafter, in 1996, Sophie Albou introduced a women's collection, which became a hugely popular fashion icon, worldwide.
1996 Launched her womenswear line.
Following this, the "Paul and Joe Beaute" cosmetics line was launched in 2001.
First developed in 2001, this enthusiastic agreement was the origin of a complete range: lipstick, eye shadow, nail polish, powder, pencils, beauty products… Paul & Joe Beauté, is all about the quality of the formulas, as well as the particular attention paid to packaging.
2002 PAUL & JOE BEAUTE, a cosmetics line that faithfully encapsulates the brand's philosophy of 'fun-loving sophistication' is launched.
2005 The "Little PAUL & JOE" kidswear collection was launched, offering parents and children a chance to enjoy the same stylish and fun fashions.
2006 A casual line of womenswear, "PAUL & JOE SISTER," was launched.
