This is a 12-hour rotating shift role. Full-time, regular, exempt. The Process Supervisor, under the direction of the Production Manager, uses computers and sophisticated instrumentation to monitor and adjust the system, including efficient operations of the plant operating systems. All duties are to be performed while exhibiting and championing safe work and environmental compliance practices for the incumbent as well as co-workers. Compensation $90,000 - $105,000 annually Responsibilities Perform safe operational duties as assigned by the Production Manager Monitor all equipment in the plant, such as temperatures, pressures and amp gauges interpreting gauges, charts, and instruments and adjust as necessary Operate equipment by making necessary adjustments to the rate of fuel flow, speed, draft, and other process variables Supervise activities of operating personnel and has the authority to assign routine and non-routine work Assure safe work practices are always followed Understand how to collect and run process samples with various instruments and devices Work in cooperation with lab personnel in the effort to produce quality products; may include cross training and running samples with lab personnel to effectively learn the chemistry of clinker and cement products and by-products Accountable for personnel and equipment safety, production rates, emissions and other process variables as assigned Operate the Roller Mill, Kiln, Cooler and Finish Mills (must include crushing system, raw clinker, Cement storage systems) Communicate with personnel and assign routine and non-routine work Monitor security cameras, and communicate unusual activity to appropriate person(s) Must keep accurate records Education Must have High School Diploma/GED Must have and be able to demonstrate mathematics knowledge (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) Must have computer knowledge and be willing to effectively learn Windows, Excel and other software Requirements/Qualifications Ability to effectively and clearly communicate with all plant personnel in all areas of plant using English dialect Ability to work rotating shifts, days and nights, weekends and holidays Ability to work with all supervisors and keep them informed of Control Room situations Ability to use shovel, broom and wheelbarrow Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. of weight Must possess excellent work ethic and safety record Must be able to work with others Must be able to read and interpret gauges, charts, and instruments and adjust as necessary Must be able to make visual check on all instruments and kilns Must be able to understand and speak clearly on telephone and base radio unit Must be able to read and write legibly to maintain accurate records of operations Must be able to deal with the public, with courtesy in answering questions pertaining to operation Must be able to follow directions and make decisions without close supervision Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold and rain) Must be able wear Proper Personal Protective equipment Ability to work in surroundings that include heat, dust, vibration, heights and confined spaces Preferred: Experience working in cement manufacturing; kowledge of all types of equipment used in cement maufacturing Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Production Manager The Production Manager is responsible for successfully leading and managing all reconstruction projects to completion, on time and on budget, for the local Paul Davis office. Base Salary up to $65,000 - $90,000 (base + commission) Description Lead and manage the start and completion of reconstruction projects using Company Resources and sub-contractor trades Interact and communicate with customers and Carriers frequently on status of the project Create work orders for projects Schedule Vendors and sub-contractors for repairs to be completed Manage an on-site Foreman on each project Order materials Review estimates as needed, align budgets with expectations with project estimator Provide weekly updates on all projects that are active Monitor job sites for safety issues, quality and for training opportunities Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required Five plus years of experience in a Management or Leadership role within the Restoration/Construction industry Experience in construction and construction management/supervision Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
