Job Summary
Cornerstone Systems is seeking an Intermodal-Account Coordinator for our corporate office located in Memphis, TN. The Account Coordinator, supporting the Intermodal Operations department, represents the core of our Company's operation as they are responsible for coordinating daily freight load movements on a national scale, while maintaining customer satisfaction in an extremely high-pressure, time-sensitive atmosphere. They are a motivated, self-starter able to manage multiple projects at once within a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with company SOPs, maintaining service excellence, and contributing to the growth of our customer and carrier network. While the following outlines the general responsibilities and requirements, it is not exhaustive, as flexibility and initiative are highly valued in this dynamic role.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Determine and secure most profitable equipment type including equipment requests
Schedule pick up appointments based on customer guidelines
Dispatch origin carrier
Perform rail billing and assign gate reservations when needed
Monitor and work Pre-ship and Origin tabs in Edge
Manage equipment pools, reconciliation, and reporting
Ensure loads are in gated in a timely manner
Enter all relevant information (arrival and departure times, notes, etc.)
Review and work active alerts in Edge
Communicate and enter carrier deductions if applicable
Review and process accessorials which occur at origin
Communicate with carriers, customers, and railroads
Schedule delivery appointments based on customer guidelines
Dispatch destination carrier
Monitor and work transit and destination tabs in Edge
Manage equipment pools, reconciliation, and reporting
Ensure termination of empty equipment in a timely manner
Enter all relevant information (arrival and departure times, notes, etc.)
Review and work all active alerts in Edge
Communicate and enter carrier deductions if applicable
Review and process accessorials which occur at destination
Review team emails, prioritize, and respond in a timely manner
Review and process accessorials incurred at destination
Run various reports which will assist in properly managing customer's loads
Provide problem resolution as needed
Identify trends or concerns with each customer and/or carrier and communicate to the team leader, manager and/or sales
Communicate any additional charges which could occur to the customer
Back up for other team members and/or team leader, as needed
Provide on-call coverage as assigned by team leader or supervisor

Minimum Knowledge, Abilities and Skills Required
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Transportation, Logistics or related field preferred but not required.
3-5+ years of related work experience within transportation or logistics, and/or additional or specialized training in transportation, logistics, or similar area of study; working knowledge of intermodal transportation preferred, but not required
Cost management experience preferred, but not required
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills
Must possess a strong sense of urgency
Strong negotiating skills
Must possess strong attention to detail
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and can work well under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook

Responsibilities:
As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will:
Own and manage a list of 300+ strategic potential customers
Achieve quota targets for both new business and expansion within these key accounts
Build relationships with potential clients; analyze their current challenges and quickly decipher if and how FMX can help solve these challenges
Progress potential clients through the buyer's journey and FMX sales funnel, i.e. prepare and host platform demonstrations, negotiate contracts, educate key decision makers on the product, etc.
Utilize Salesforce, Gong, and other platforms within the FMX tech stack to properly manage and facilitate opportunities
Utilize all the resources at your disposal to effectively and efficiently secure deals
Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual metrics (meetings held, ARR closed, etc.)
Collaborate with your SDR team regarding prospect notes, meeting times, and key topics to review for all meetings set
Contribute to strategic weekly sales and training meetings
Actively pursue self-improvement and assist the team in meeting company goals
Manage pipeline and opportunities to ensure all data is accurate and up to date
Requirements
Experience & Qualities:
5+ years of experience in a B2B selling role (Experience selling into enterprise accounts in the public sector is a must)
Experience working in a remote sales environment
Demonstrated ability to work with complex sales cycles
Exceptional attention to detail, task management, and organizational skills
Experience using Salesforce (or a similar CRM) and/or Sales Engagement Platforms
Excellent written and oral communication skills

What You'll Do:
New customer attainment, account maintenance, and growth of revenue in assigned territory; pursue diversification opportunities.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of marketplace, (i.e., railroad industry, environmental services industry, economy, competition) in assigned territory.
Drive business opportunities through completing bids, securing subcontractors, rental equipment, provide pricing recommendations to Estimating as needed for proposal completion, and securing purchase orders for payment.
Maintain bids, potential opportunities, sales funnel, and customer contact information within the CRM.

Must be willing to be 24-hour on-call availability.
Must be able to travel 50%-75% within your assigned territory including some overnight stays in the territory.

Apply a high-energy, quick pace approach to aggressively enter the marketplace, have a direct, immediate impact building relationships, penetrating barriers to entry, building relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing business
Understands how to deliver a targeted elevator pitch to prospects with a focus on planned maintenance work more so than emergency work
Builds relationships through effective communication with prospects and customers and particularly with key decisionmakers responsible for spending money.
Develops and plans for project and revenue growth while upholding customer service requirements, driving profitability and expense control
Serves as an advocate and problem-solver with customers and prospects while having their best interests in mind
