Pros of working at Paul Transportation

Nice People, they’ll get you home

Cons of working at Paul Transportation

if you wanna sit around at a hotel for weeks at a time they only have about 7 trainers for students fresh out of school. They have percentage & cent per mile, BUT percentage isn’t promised once you walk through those Paul doors. You start out at 46 cent per mile for your first 2 months, IF you have no service failures & you’re safe (as a student). They say 400$ orientation Pay but that’s cut in half on your first Friday. They say 650$ trainer truck pay but that’s 415$ after taxes. They say 3 weeks on the trainers truck but it’s most likely going to be 5-6 weeks I did 7 weeks and still wasn’t finished with 10,000 miles ,not including sitting at the hotel because of lack of trainers. Half of the trainers are regional which means they only run within a 500mile radius. For example you could spend 2 days on a 400 mile run depending on drop off time. Imagine going 7+ weeks at 400$ a week. You do better going to TMC, Melton, or AnyWHERE else.Equipment was what you make of it,(find a tarp patch it up and deem it worthy). My TRAINER barley made 1300$ a week, the week I left he had only made 1000$ Due to low freight and small runs. I honestly made more money working forklift. I can say Management was overall nice, a Diverse company with pretty nice facilities. They will get you home if needed. Just ask a lot of questions because they’ll tell you certain things but there will be a backside of that story they won’t tell you. You honestly do better off pulling dry van vs coming to Paul, money wise. Good luck to you all!
