Education and Qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide accurate, efficient quality customer service to members and prospective members over the phone.
* Be a Subject Matter Expert to resolve member issues and inquiries on accounts to include account activity, fraud disputes, debit card issues and Online Banking issues and resolution within level of authority. Forward inquiries to appropriate department for resolution beyond area of authority, access, or knowledge.
* Order checks and complete account maintenance and transaction slips accurately and in a timely manner. Accept and process loan payments through Orbipay loan payment system.
* Make recommendations and/or decision fee reversal requests and provide alternate overdraft solutions.
* Educate members on account criteria, features, benefits and recommend alternate solutions to member concerns.
* Recognize referral opportunities, complete VISA applications over the phone, cross sell other Coastal1 products and services such as Online Banking enrollment and achieve minimum required referral goals.

ABOUT THE ASSET MANAGEMENT / COLLECTOR ROLE: We are seeking an Asset Management Specialist (Collector) to join our team. Under general supervision, and following established policies and procedures, you will contact members (via telephone, mail, e-mail) to resolve delinquent accounts. This role focuses on collections of overdrafts, negative share accounts and delinquent loans. You will counsel members on various financial planning and budgeting tools. Ensures Collection activities are in compliance with state and federal regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures. Maintains the delinquency rate according to Credit Union goals and maximizes the charge-off and recovery process. Processes requests/transactions, as appropriate. Assists members and potential members in understanding and utilizing Credit Union products and services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: (Collections, Collector)
1. Collects all past due accounts. Communicates and counsels' members with delinquent accounts using specific knowledge of Credit Union guidelines, NCUA policies, as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Counsels' members with delinquent loans using specific knowledge of good collection techniques to maintain good relationships with delinquent members and yet avoid losses.
2. Collect on Mortgage Loans owned by secondary market investors (FreddieMac).
3. Coordinate loan modifications and troubled debt restructures with member mortgage accounts.
4. Responds to consumer disputes from Credit Bureau Agencies to ensure proper reporting of account activity.
Reviews debt proposals from debt management organizations to work out reduced payments on delinquent and non-delinquent accounts.
5. Responsible for but not limited to, recommending which accounts to charge off, repossession, legal action, settlements on charged off accounts, freezing shares for delinquent purposes, answering court attachments, handling bankruptcies, and when necessary, works with the credit union-approved collection attorney to collect accounts through legal means.
6. Gather information regarding delinquent loan activity for the VP, Collections. Recommends delinquent accounts to be charged off.
7. Responsible for preparing a variety of reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. basis, and for recommending policy and developing procedures to assure compliance with state and federal regulations.
8. Represents the Credit Union at legal proceedings. Negotiates with attorneys on bankruptcy and other legal issues.
9. Coordinate foreclosures for both Credit Union owned and secondary market owned properties.
10. Coordinate mortgage short sales dealing with real estate brokers, lawyers and other financial institutions.
11. Coordinates repossessions. Initiates appropriate action to sell or dispose of repossessed vehicles. Assigns accounts to outside Collection agency, according to policy. Responds to court garnishments and levies.
12. Performs other collections and/or administrative related duties as assigned by the VP, Collections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education required.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
1. Minimum 2 years progressively responsible experience in consumer loan collections and delinquencies preferably in a financial institution.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of Fair Credit Debt and Collections Act and lending policies and procedures.
3. Knowledge of secondary market regulations, policies, procedures and experience with FreddieMac workout prospector software.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, the Facilities Specialist is responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance of all Credit Union facilities. Responsible for performing a variety of custodial, facilities, courier and clerical duties on an on-going basis. Assists in maintaining the credit union's Records Retention and Destruction program. Duties may include but are not limited to: cleaning branches, trash removal, purchase of cleaning/maintenance supplies, schedule on-going and contracted maintenance, snow removal, minor construction or handyperson related tasks. Responsible for completion of assigned errands and tasks per requests or on authorized schedules.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Ensures inside and outside of credit union facilities are clear of trash and other debris. Ensures parking lots are maintained and painted according to schedules. Performs snow removal and/or ice removal management.
Performs a variety of facilities duties, including but not limited to: replacing light bulbs, moving furniture, relocating records, and setting up rooms for meetings, etc. Maintains inventory of necessary supplies, i.e. light bulbs.
Monitors the conditions of the headquarters building & grounds daily, taking corrective action as necessary to maintain safety, security, and cleanliness.
Completes room and equipment set-up for events and meetings.
Provides support in handling back-office supplies and monitoring office supply ordering throughout the Credit Union.
Provides support in maintaining the Records Retention and Destruction Policy with guidance from AVP, Facilities. Partners with the credit union's 3rd party vendor in managing the storage and/or destruction of records.
Oversees shredding at Corporate Center. Acts as a liaison with the credit union's 3rd party vendor.
Performs all duties of a courier. Travels from branch to branch on an as needed basis, performing maintenance tasks and transporting internal mail.
Performs other facilitates and/or clerical related duties, as assigned by the AVP, Facilities or Vice President, Facilities.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:
This position is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a formal compliance strategy and program at the credit union. Establishes compliance-related policies and procedures for the organization ensuring adherence to credit union/banking regulations and standards. Directs the activities of the compliance team to ensure activities align with the goals and objectives of the department and credit union. Recommends and/or implements best practices that align with the credit union's risk appetite. Serves as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters and provides guidance to management or business lines to ensure compliance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Directs the daily operations of the compliance team by providing ongoing supervision, coaching, guidance, and training. Oversees performance management of the compliance staff, including but not limited to conducting reviews, recommending corrective action, and other employment actions. Actively participates in the employee engagement process to ensure a motivated staff. Participates in the interviewing process for and recommends the hiring of compliance staff.
Conducts reviews and provides guidance to all Credit Union on all compliance related questions and issues, including but not limited to review of credit card and marketing materials, credit union offerings, and various disclosures.
Conducts high-level research of regulatory-related matters (i.e., practices, regulation updates, etc.), communicates regulatory changes to business lines, and assists in the tracking and implementation of corrective action.
Implements and maintains updated regulatory and compliance dashboards along with corrective action item report to provide to CRO and GC for reporting purposes.
Develops and executes on the credit union's compliance strategy to align with growth plans and risk tolerance/appetite.
Manages all examinations and/or internal/external compliance audits and functions as a liaison with any examiners/auditors. Delegates activities to the compliance team. Ensures that issues identified in the audit process are adequately addressed with internal, external and NCUA auditors. Monitors corrective action of any compliance deficiencies identified in regulatory reports of examination and assists business line managers in developing a response to said findings or deficiencies.
Serves as s subject matter expert on regulations impacting the credit union and provides guidance to management or business lines to ensure understanding of compliance requirements.
Cooperate as an integral team member of the Risk Department working with BSA, Legal, Information Security, Government Affairs, among others.

* Provides an independent credit quality assessment of the larger, more complex existing and prospective Commercial Banking Members' credit structures by conducting comprehensive financial analyses, including scrutinizing financial statements (audited, reviewed, or self-prepared) or income tax returns, performing detailed financial statement analysis, trend analysis, industry assessments, collateral valuations, cash flow analysis and evaluation of the ability to repay required debt service.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the branch in accordance with established policies and procedures. In conjunction with the Branch Manager, ensures all branch personnel deliver exceptional customer service, aligned with the Credit Union's core values and mission statement. ABOUT THE ROLE
Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, the Facilities Specialist is responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance of all Credit Union facilities. Responsible for performing a variety of custodial, facilities, courier and clerical duties on an on-going basis. Assists in maintaining the credit union's Records Retention and Destruction program. Duties may include but are not limited to: cleaning branches, trash removal, purchase of cleaning/maintenance supplies, schedule on-going and contracted maintenance, snow removal, minor construction or handyperson related tasks. Responsible for completion of assigned errands and tasks per requests or on authorized schedules.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Ensures inside and outside of credit union facilities are clear of trash and other debris. Ensures parking lots are maintained and painted according to schedules. Performs snow removal and/or ice removal management.
Performs a variety of facilities duties, including but not limited to: replacing light bulbs, moving furniture, relocating records, and setting up rooms for meetings, etc. Maintains inventory of necessary supplies, i.e. light bulbs.
Monitors the conditions of the headquarters building & grounds daily, taking corrective action as necessary to maintain safety, security, and cleanliness.
Completes room and equipment set-up for events and meetings.
Provides support in handling back-office supplies and monitoring office supply ordering throughout the Credit Union.
Provides support in maintaining the Records Retention and Destruction Policy with guidance from AVP, Facilities. Partners with the credit union's 3rd party vendor in managing the storage and/or destruction of records.
Oversees shredding at Corporate Center. Acts as a liaison with the credit union's 3rd party vendor.
Performs all duties of a courier. Travels from branch to branch on an as needed basis, performing maintenance tasks and transporting internal mail.
Performs other facilitates and/or clerical related duties, as assigned by the AVP, Facilities or Vice President, Facilities.

ABOUT THE ASSET MANAGEMENT / COLLECTOR ROLE: We are seeking an Asset Management Specialist (Collector) to join our team. Under general supervision, and following established policies and procedures, you will contact members (via telephone, mail, e-mail) to resolve delinquent accounts. This role focuses on collections of overdrafts, negative share accounts and delinquent loans. You will counsel members on various financial planning and budgeting tools. Ensures Collection activities are in compliance with state and federal regulations and Credit Union policies and procedures. Maintains the delinquency rate according to Credit Union goals and maximizes the charge-off and recovery process. Processes requests/transactions, as appropriate. Assists members and potential members in understanding and utilizing Credit Union products and services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: (Collections, Collector)
1. Collects all past due accounts. Communicates and counsels' members with delinquent accounts using specific knowledge of Credit Union guidelines, NCUA policies, as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Counsels' members with delinquent loans using specific knowledge of good collection techniques to maintain good relationships with delinquent members and yet avoid losses.
2. Collect on Mortgage Loans owned by secondary market investors (FreddieMac).
3. Coordinate loan modifications and troubled debt restructures with member mortgage accounts.
4. Responds to consumer disputes from Credit Bureau Agencies to ensure proper reporting of account activity.
Reviews debt proposals from debt management organizations to work out reduced payments on delinquent and non-delinquent accounts.
5. Responsible for but not limited to, recommending which accounts to charge off, repossession, legal action, settlements on charged off accounts, freezing shares for delinquent purposes, answering court attachments, handling bankruptcies, and when necessary, works with the credit union-approved collection attorney to collect accounts through legal means.
6. Gather information regarding delinquent loan activity for the VP, Collections. Recommends delinquent accounts to be charged off.
7. Responsible for preparing a variety of reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. basis, and for recommending policy and developing procedures to assure compliance with state and federal regulations.
8. Represents the Credit Union at legal proceedings. Negotiates with attorneys on bankruptcy and other legal issues.
9. Coordinate foreclosures for both Credit Union owned and secondary market owned properties.
10. Coordinate mortgage short sales dealing with real estate brokers, lawyers and other financial institutions.
11. Coordinates repossessions. Initiates appropriate action to sell or dispose of repossessed vehicles. Assigns accounts to outside Collection agency, according to policy. Responds to court garnishments and levies.
12. Performs other collections and/or administrative related duties as assigned by the VP, Collections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education required.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
1. Minimum 2 years progressively responsible experience in consumer loan collections and delinquencies preferably in a financial institution.

Job Responsibilities
* Provide excellent member service from start to finish with each member.
* Process all member transactions accurately and promptly; these include withdrawals, deposits, check cashing, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders and inquiries. Perform transactions discreetly and confidentially.
* Follows established processes and guidelines in daily activities to do what is right for members and Coastal1 Credit Union, adhering to all applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Completes assigned compliance training within required time frames.
* Assists members with general account questions within the scope of their role from start to finish. Knows when to refer members to the appropriate team member for additional more in-depth services.
* Prioritizes learning about products and services, and navigate internal portals to find answers in an efficient manner.
* Perform other duties as required.
