I care passionately about the digital community. As well as our cloud consultancy, Wirehive, my roles as chair of the BIMA Blockchain Think Tank, co-creator of Alexa Stop! and co-founder of Ecologi means I am fortunate to work with some brilliant people.

We founded Wirehive in 2012 with a vision to create the sort of business we wanted to be part of. A place where people love to work and are empowered to make a difference.

Since then we have been on a mission to produce the highest quality experience - uninterrupted. We work in partnership with the world’s leading cloud providers - Microsoft, Amazon and Google - to help businesses solve the technology challenges that come from operating in a digital age.

When it comes to experience, we also practice what we preach. We’re an extension of your team, we deliver customer service on first-name terms and you can reach us anytime you need to.

Since starting the business, we have seen rapid growth thanks to our loyal partners and word-of-mouth recommendation. It gives me great pride to have delivered work for an incredible list of leading organisations including, amongst many others, Atlantic Records, Centrica, Honda, ITV and Vodafone. Our Wirehive 100 awards and league table, which we launched the year the business was founded, has grown into one of the biggest celebrations of digital excellence in the south.

Klaus Dimmler has a proven track record as an Internet entrepreneur, and has founded and served as CEO for several successful Internet companies. Prior to Pax8, Klaus was in leadership roles with DMCare.com, which provided prescription-based diabetes management over the Internet; Internet Express, which provided Internet access services in eight cities; USA.net, which specialized in web-enabled email services; and, Fablink Corporation, a business-to-business electronic commerce company that focused on the buyer/supplier semiconductor manufacturing market. Klaus also has extensive experience in developing innovations in wireless communications and computer semiconductor technology at companies that included AT&T, Bell Laboratories, Motorola, Lattice Semiconductor, Inmos, Cypress Semiconductor, Ramtron and Simtek. Klaus founded two semiconductor companies, including Sensorbit, which develops solid state sensor technology, and OrganicID, which develops a solution-based semiconductor fabrication technology that is used to produce low-cost printable Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags. Klaus has received a BS and MSEE from Cornell University in 1979 and 1980, respectively.

By day, in my role as co-founder of Wirehive, I help forward-thinking businesses transform the way the world operates. Our mission is to solve the technical challenges that come from operating in a digital age. We use the latest cloud technologies to design, implement and manage infrastructure solutions that underpin successful digital innovation for clients as diverse as Screwfix, ITV Studios and British Red Cross.

By night (and weekends, evenings and occasional days), I help save lives. This is through my voluntary work as a leader in Surrey Search and Rescue (SAR). We work with, and often augment, the Police and Fire & Rescue services both in active operations - from missing persons to flood rescue - and developing new search and rescue capabilities.

In SAR, I have worked to introduce leading-edge, practical technology to help save lives and rescue people. This includes search drones with broadcast capabilities (the envy of many other services) and mobile control and communication units.

For me, Wirehive and SAR are both sides of the same coin. Success in either endeavour lies with engaged teams of experts who want to deliver the best results. It’s the convergence of technology, people and communication united behind a common goal.
