Dave Brewster, Co-Founder / CTO of Paxata is a serial entrepreneur and seasoned enterprise software technology leader with more than 20 years experience in successfully architecting and delivering scalable technology platforms.He was one of the lead platform development engineers at NetDynamics, a pioneer in the Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) application server market that was acquired by Sun in 1998. From 2003 to 2010, Dave was Chief Architect and Head of Platform development at Guidewire, the leader in delivering enterprise applications to the insurance industry. Dave was responsible for architecting and building the Guidewire platform whilst leading a team of 40 developers. Under his leadership, Guidewire was able to deliver four major applications (Claims, Billing, Policy Management, and Contact Management) to over 100 customers including industry leaders such as AXA, GEICO, Tokyo Marine, Zurich Insurance, and Royal Bank of Scotland, all running on a single, highly scalable, and extensible platform. Guidewire recently had a very successful IPO on the NYSE. Dave also served as Chief Architect at Cascade Works, a leading services procurement application provider, acquired by Elance, an on-line workforce recruitment and management solution. Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Ohio State University.
