We are currently looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience processing multi-state payroll as well as being positive, energetic, well-organized, and detailed oriented.

Essential Functions:

Processes multi-state payroll using the designated payroll and timekeeping software. Ability to manage and research gratuities, Knowledge of 941 reporting and other tax filing, state regulations, federal regulations, vacation accrual, garnishments, state deductions, tax deductions, and wages, and other relative payroll and human resources related items.. Maintains payroll information. Updates payroll records by reviewing and getting approved changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers. Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts. Prepares payroll reports and other reports upon request by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages. Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies. Provides payroll and benefit information by answering questions and requests. Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) Ensure systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with contracts Responsible for setting up new properties and terminating properties that are no longer in business or managed.



Minimum Essential Functions:


Responsible for updating employees information accordingly. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources or any other management request.



Minimum Qualifications:


3-5 years experience managing a multi-state payroll; and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Management, Human Resources Management, or Accounting Extensive knowledge payroll and timekeeping systems. Proficient at MS Office (especially Excel) Working experience of payroll tax at the federal, state and local levels Must be a team player Must be highly organized and attention to detail Prior system conversion experience, a plus.

The Regional Payroll Manager is a leader, business partner and collaborator with Resourcing Edge clients, client's worksite employees and internal team members within their assigned region. The Regional Manager is accountable for all aspects of quality payroll service for clients. The Regional Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring established procedures are executed, service protocols are met and client relationships are established with a strong focus on client satisfaction with support from the Payroll Director. Key Responsibilities

Develop best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes. Ensure all payrolls are processed timely and accurately. Address payroll related queries and requests from employees, clients and internal departments. Review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures. Analyze payroll issues and provide appropriate resolutions. Follow and enforce federal, state and local regulations. Provide assistance to payroll staff and conduct performance evaluations. Conduct one on ones and provide feedback/disciplinary actions as needed. Coordinate with Treasury, Accounting, Benefits and Risk teams to timely and accurately carry out payroll processing. Research and resolve client and system problems to ensure accurate payroll reports and tax returns. Assist in audit operations and implement audit recommendations Lead team meetings and trainings to keep staff updated on changes with the company, systems and payroll compliance. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc. Assist team members with overflow work. Monitor team workload and distribute work appropriately. Escalate service issues to Payroll Director and other appropriate teams' leads. Identify and implement quality control measures. Assist Payroll Director in creating quarterly and annual team objectives. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.


Preferred Skills:

Ability to work under pressure and effectively handle high volume workloads. Ability to appropriately distribute daily workload and assigned projects to ensure operational effectiveness. Ability to complete assigned projects without strict supervision. Ability to communicate clearly; excellent telephone manners and etiquette. Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch.
