As a Payroll Clerk with Outsource, you will work with our Sales & Recruiting teams, as well as our external candidates and clients to process payroll and billing. The ideal candidate has a knack for numbers and details.
This position requires 90 days in office training and then transitions to hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days in office).
Payroll Clerk Responsibilities
Process payroll for external candidates on a weekly basis
Assist Recruiting team with timecard collection
Request timecard approvals from existing clients
Data entry of paper timecards into our payroll software
Assist external candidates with entering time through online portal
Troubleshoot payroll issues, as they arise
Generate and send client invoices on a weekly basis
Coordinate with Sales team to ensure accuracy of invoices
Making phone calls and fielding incoming calls from internal and external clients
Assist with mitigation of payroll issues such as short payments
Assist various departments when needed including payroll and accounting
Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Description
Our client, a fast-growing commercial HVAC general contractor located near the Cumblerland Mall is looking for a PayrollSpecialist to join their wonderful team. This position will be performed at our client's office and the normal work hours are 7am to 4pm. A little flexibility can be allowed on the work hours if needed.
This is a critical position for this organization. It is a full cycle and full scope payroll position, so significant payroll experience is required. In addition to weekly payroll, you will also be responsible for onboarding and offboarding employees. If you have not yet had the opportunity to work with union payroll, this will be a great opportunity for you to learn those nuances as well.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES will include:
• Execute onboarding and offboarding processes (new hire set up and reporting, I-9 tracking, E-Verify, background checks, drug screens, MVR's, etc.)
• Assist with timekeeping as needed (BuildTime system, Sharepoint Time Entry and manual processes)
• Process weekly payroll (in-house using their system)
• Prepare payroll remittances (Federal/state payments, 401k payments, etc.)
• Assist with reconciliation of payroll related GL accounts as needed
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual payroll filings as required by federal, state and/or union jurisdictions (union reporting, certified payroll, Form 940/941, unemployment filings, OCIP/CCIP reporting, etc.)

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Employee Setup
Process biweekly payroll and assist with timecard issues as needed.
Set up Paycor profiles for new hires, ensuring accurate and complete employee data.

Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The Senior Payroll Tax Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of client deliverables and filings with government agencies. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, collaborating closely with internal payroll teams, external agencies, and auditors to address tax-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies. The Senior Payroll Tax Specialist must demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills while effectively managing multiple tasks and meeting critical deadlines.
Responsibilities
Reconcile payroll tax accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve tax issues to ensure accurate tax reporting.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing payroll tax documentation and reports as required.
Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, analyze their impact on payroll processes, and make recommendations for compliance.
Ensure payroll systems are configured correctly for tax calculations and updates related to tax changes. Apply for and complete TPA and POA within payroll platform.

Qualifications
