Role Overview:

* Input Paid Time off program(s) usage.
* In coordination with Payroll Shared Services, prepare manual payroll drafts as required for errors or terminations.
* Verify accuracy of re-employment earnings and hours.
* Working with Payroll Shared Services, verify child support and wage garnishments.
* Interact and communicate with HR, Accounting and Supervisors on a continual basis.
* Support and complete SOX, accounting or other related compliance activities.
* Maintain up-to-date customer records
* Reconcile account discrepancies and resolve billing issues that may come about.
* May direct the efficient work activities of payroll or other accounts receivable duties as assigned.
* May process layoff/recall notices (where applicable).

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review/process accurate and timely weekly and semi-monthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now payroll system and review journal entries recording activity to the G/L
Ensure the Junior Accountant properly enters relevant payroll information in ADP (benefit deductions, wage garnishments, compensation, merit increases, department transfers, etc.) and completes all payroll related responsibilities
Provide payroll support by answering employee questions, troubleshoot issues, initiate service tickets through ADP Comprehensive Services and resolve any payroll related inaccuracies
Maintain integrity of data for payroll in ADP system to ensure accuracy and timely editing of employee records including adding new hires, processing authorized changes and terminating employees
Ensure compliance with federal and state reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly and year-end reports), including W-2s and 1095-C
Assist with all employee transactions for Stock Based Compensation (options and RSUs), Employee Stock Purchase Plans (ESPP), 401K, HSA, and including coordinating transmissions with third party providers
Manage the preparation of the year-end E-Trade requirements and tax statements.
Educate/assist employees with equity related questions and requests
Reconcile records between E-Trade, transfer agent and general ledger on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Manage all equity compensation payroll processing
Maintain EEO database, and conduct regular audits against ADP database for completeness (new hires, terminations, account changes etc.)
Respond to internal and external audit requests promptly
Support annual 5500 filing and audit (401K) and workers comp audit (insurance)
Generate all payroll reports requested by management
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Experienced and skilled with E*TRADE's Client Resource Center and Equity Edge Online platform for the management of Participants, Stock Options and Awards, Equity Incentive Plans, Restricted Stock Units, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (including Online Grant Agreements, Exchange Manager, Reports, etc.).
Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll platform
Strong communication, teamwork and business partnering skills.
ERP experience a plus
Knowledgeable in setting up states in ADP and with government agencies
Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel

Minimum Qualifications

Essential Duties

Maintains records for vacations and sick-day eligibility.
Processes all employee insurance forms and insurance payments in coordination with office manager.

Job Description
The PayrollSpecialist provides support to our business-owner clients and our internal team of experts. As a key member of a business unit, the primary objective of the BBSI PayrollSpecialist is to process perfect payroll, and provide solutions to improve payroll processes and systems.
This person must demonstrate strong business acumen, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to proactively and consistently deliver results for our clients and internal teams.
This position reports to the Area Manager and works in partnership with other positions within the business unit, branch and corporate office.
Qualifications
Results-oriented, accountable and highly organized
Strong client service orientation, preferably with customer service work experience
Run weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for multiple client companies
Data entry and file maintenance to include employee on-boarding, changes and terminations
Perform on-site customer payroll training as needed
Minimum 5 years of payroll experience - ideally in a fast paced environment
Knowledge of wage and hour laws
Effective communicator with individuals at all levels of an organization.
Professional appearance and demeanor
Exceptional time management skills
Bachelor's or associate's degree; CPP designation preferred but not required
Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to use your own vehicle, proof of automobile insurance meeting BBSI coverage criteria
