Mr. Timothy McGrath is President, Chief Executive Officer of PC Connection Inc. Mr. McGrath has served as Chief Executive Officer since August 2011, and as President since May 2010. Mr. McGrath served as Chief Operating Officer from May 2010 to August 2011. Mr. McGrath also served as Executive Vice President, PC Connection Enterprises from May 2007 to May 2010, as Senior Vice President, PC Connection Enterprises from December 2006 to May 2007, and as President of PC Connection Sales Corporation, sales subsidiary, from August 2005 to December 2006.

As a roll-up-the-sleeves executive, I excels in building relationships and trust both internally and externally, providing a holistic economic and business-perspective that expands beyond the traditional financial reporting lens.Initially joining Varian Semiconductor Equipment in 2001 - at the time, a $400mm small cap company with less than 30% market share - I played a major contributing leadership role in enabling 200% growth in annual revenue, 45% growth in market share, and Varian shareholders to realize a return of over 700% (significantly outperforming the company’s 3 largest industry peers) during a period from 2005 until the company was sold to Applied Materials in 2011. During this time, I was also instrumental in strengthening investor confidence by ensuring transparency in communications and by significantly improving forecasting accuracy. In 2011, I played a key role in successfully selling Varian at a 55% premium over previous day close and ~10% greater than an all-time high, by partnering with the CFO and investment bankers in responding to an unsolicited bid for the company. Here, I actively participated in the selling process with the CEO, leveraging deep product and industry knowledge to sell Varian at a premium.
