1981

1981 Four floors of Hansen Life Sciences Research Building established as PCCR’s permanent home

1986

Then, through the expansion of the plant in 1986, the phthalic anhydride and special plasticisers productions were started directly on site.

1989

1989 Walther Cancer Institute scientific partnership begins

1991

In the meantime, the Company acquires Reglar S.r.l., active in the sector of composite materials molding (1991).

1999

From 1999, the Ravenna site also starts production of tetrahydrophthalic anhydride, a derivative of maleic anhydride.

2001

In 2001, Polynt acquires the German companies Lonza Compounds Verwaltungs and Lonza Compounds, based in Miehlen; the latter specialized in the production of composite materials molding based on unsaturated polyester resin.

2004

2004 Partnership launched with IU Simon Cancer Center

2005

In 2005, as part of a strategy to expand into the emerging Eastern European markets, the Company sets up Lonza Poland Sp.

2006

On 1st August 2006, Lonza S.p.A. changes its name to Polynt S.p.A.. On 30 October 2006, Polynt is listed on the STAR segment of the Italian Stock Exchange.

2007

2007 Timothy Ratliff becomes PCCR director

2008

In April 2008, following the takeover bid, Polynt S.p.A. is acquired by Polimeri Speciali S.P.A. (indirectly controlled by Invest Industrial) and delisted from the Italian Stock Exchange.

2012

On 1st January 2012, Polynt France SARL becomes operational and has managed the marketing and sale of the Group’s products on the French market from its office in Lyon since 1st April 2012.

2018

2018 Tyler Trent becomes first student on Advancement Board

2018 Walther Cancer Foundation donates $10 million of matching funds for endowments

2018 Philip Low develops a method for using patient’s own cells to fight their cancer — and intends to fight osteosarcoma first.

2019

Trial starts in May 2019.
