Position Title: Supervisor, Comm. Production
Location: Assembly Drive, Rockford, IL 61109
Shift: 2nd Shift
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety, quality, and operational excellence for their shift and value stream. In this role they direct and coordinates daily, weekly and monthly objectives and activities for their value stream. Manage the overall workflow by assigning responsibilities to direct reports for the production floor to ensure right first time and on time delivery to our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following but other duties may be assigned.
* Direct the daily activities of the production floor, on their shift, in compliance with company policies and procedures, along with all federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA, FDA, cGMP standards and employment law.
* Responsible for the Safety culture and results on the production floor, own and drive safety improvements within your value stream.
* Ensure all safety incidents on their shift are investigated, root cause determined, and corrective actions identified and implemented to mitigate future risk.
* Communicate operational challenges and execute your course corrections with regard to Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, or Personnel.
* Facilitate the line/shift handoff prior to departure every day. Plan and execute activities with procurement, maintenance, warehouse and quality departments through active communications to achieve and sustain results.
* Understand operating challenges and utilize problem solving tools to drive continuous improvement opportunities for your value stream. Manage daily schedule to ensure proper staffing levels to include periods of vacations and holidays to meet required service levels.
* Oversee and participate in the interview/selection process of hiring. Educate and train staff using TWI methodology to ensure adherence to performance expectations as defined in current best practice documentation.
* Perform associate evaluations through Quantum, providing feedback and development as needed. Own and actively drive KPI'S for your value stream through visual control boards and line communications.
* Analyze performance of equipment, personnel and shift for improvement opportunities, develop plans and execute projects to improve the process.
* May require use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
* Manages time and attendance daily and approval of payroll. This position may require overtime and/or weekend work. Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules. Attendance to work is an essential function of this position Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining overall capacity planning schedules for the facility. The core ERP database is SAP and used to execute production order assignment flows that includes publishing both interdepartmentally and outside departments supporting the Service Center. The position requires focus on custom made engineered components, assemblies and rebuilds. Will maintain system data and will develop daily/weekly production schedules in conjunction with sales, engineering, warehouse and purchasing department support. Leads structure and sets the agenda of daily board meetings to discuss accuracy of all departmental timeline assignments.
Major Duties:
Develop and maintain production schedules including daily, weekly and long-term plans to optimize the use of all resources and meeting capital, repair and aftermarket order targets
Understand, develop and maintain ERP (SAP) settings resulting in streamlining the coordination of labor, machinery and material timelines focused on maximizing efficiency and throughput of the facility
Plans, coordinates and oversees the workflow of all facility departments to ensure that all orders are produced efficiently and delivered on time. The role requires balancing various factors including customer demand, resources available, inventory levels and outsource commitments.

Proactively identify and address issues that arise during production order execution making necessary adjustments to schedules and processes to minimize delays working through departmental supervisors and management as needed
Ensure all production order labor operations, materials are properly scanned and completed on real-time holding departmental supervisors accountable
Track production progress, analyze historical data and prepare reports for leadership on existing order challenges used to support forecast
Work with Planners to establish production order standards on planned hour determinations which affect schedules and define standard workflows that automate the processes required in SAP.
Continuous review, suggest and provide implementation plan for process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
The person in this role will report to the Service Center General Mgr. Key interaction will be with manufacturing and repair personnel at the facility, project management, purchasing, engineering, sales personnel and engineering all limited only to capacity scheduling topics. The candidate will need to be self-motivated and able to handle / coordinate a heavy workload. Needs to be able to prioritize workload while assessing the value of each job/task at hand.
Limited travel is required during training period, then occasional as assigned as a training pertaining to the effect of master data and capacity planning strategies
The role of this position is to provide technical scheduling expertise for the facility. Success is measured by accurate operation estimates and meeting schedules resulting in an even flow of production orders through all departments focused on accurate dates in SAP opposed to shop schedule changes on the fly not in SAP.

The Operations Leads will report to the NA CRS Operations Manager II.
He/She will be responsible for delivering optimal results through the successful deployment and execution of initiatives that support NA CRS specifically around the 3x3 execution.
Day-to-day direction will be taken from the Operations Manager, with ad hoc requests from four Client Service Delivery and Training Leaders to execute regionally.
These FTCs will engage with field colleagues to support service delivery, jeopardy situations, data analysis, and communication across 1,000 field colleagues.
These colleagues will also focus myopically on hitting (and measuring) our targets and progress around utilization, new business onboarding, and regular onboarding to ensure we meet our business case objectives.
He/She will play a key role in helping to drive change in our US sub-regions.
He/She will need to develop a detailed knowledge of the business and the company's internal processes and procedures to drive the organization to higher level of efficiency and performance.
Responsibilities
Partner with the NA CRS Operations Manager II and the Client Service Delivery Organization to deliver optimal results through coordination and execution
Provide tracking support to the Operations Manager where needed
Support the Account Specialist organization and CRS COO organization to meet our 3x3 objectives
Drive key change and transformation initiatives identified by senior management.
Escalate situations promptly where there are system limitations/challenges and/or resistance to change around onboarding and utilization, and remediate quickly
Develop and support strategy around 2026 onboarding, taking into consideration learnings from 2025
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 5 -7 years - Operational, data analytics, and/or communications experience.
Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
Aptitude to understand key drivers of success and performance
Insurance Brokerage experience a plus
Proficient in MS Office and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookups)
Able to work in a complex global matrix environment
The projected hourly range for this position is $35-42/hr.

Coaches supervisors in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve production problems.
Drive Continuous Improvement philosophy and practices.
Responsible for all special projects assigned by the Plant Director, to include but not limited to Lean Manufacturing initiatives, six sigma projects, safety initiatives, etc.
Liaise with different departments, including suppliers, finance, and others to align production with market needs and company goals.
Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required in Manufacturing, Engineering, Science, Business, or related field.
MBA preferred.
5+ years of manufacturing operations experience, preferably in cGMP environment.
5+ years of supervisory/leadership experience required.
Knowledge of FDA and cGMP regulations and requirements.
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Certification a plus.
