    Job Description The Business Office Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the facility, staff management, and the overall financial success of the facility, while ensuring quality care is provided to every resident at Peaceful Pines Senior Living. This role is needed to help provide compassionate leadership and effective management of the overall business operations, while providing a secure and empowering environment for our staff and the residents we serve. This position will be responsible for supporting all administrative tasks as assigned by the Administrator. This position will also assist with human resource initiatives including records management, process improvement, and data integrity in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. The Business Office Manager will provide support in HR processes including the hiring and termination process, as well as driving the positive development of Peaceful Pines culture. This role will report to the Executive Director and other leadership roles as needed and agrees to comply with and perform the duties and responsibilities as described below. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE: Ensuring the well-being and protection of every resident through the delivery of high-quality care. The Business Office Manager will assist in planning all aspects of the community's operations, managing staffing and payroll for the community, aiding in the development of strategic marketing goals and plans, and similar activities. The Business Office Manager must be willing to work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Director of Nursing, Operations, and frontline team members to ensure continuity of care and maximized resident and family satisfaction. This position will be responsible for the safety and well-being of residents, along with the supervision of care staff. The Memory Care Nurse Manager will provide support in daily compliance with regulations, nursing department policies and procedures, and standard of care for our residents. The Memory Care Nurse Manager will report to the Director of Nursing and agrees to comply with and perform the duties and responsibilities as described below. In addition, this role may be asked to perform functions not listed below. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE: Ensures the well-being and protection of every resident through the delivery of high-quality care. Promotes and supports a positive work environment focused on team building and collaboration. Provides on-call support in a rotation. Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personal or health information concerning residents and staff. Ensures that all the needs are met for the residents as well as supervises staff that is on the shift. Ensures that any incident reports are completed properly and promptly. Schedules and prepares necessary medical paperwork for all scheduled resident appointments. Assists with compliance in meeting regulations and is available for state licensure surveys. Maintains resident files and appropriate documents as required. Scans and uploads all documentation to the electronic medical record. Assists Medication Aides and CNAs in service delivery and training as needed or requested. Completes or assists with order entry, entering new doctors' orders and med changes. Assists with medication changeover. Performs inventory management for medication administration by Medication Aides. Managers and audits the medication carts and rooms. Checks in new medications from the pharmacy, destroys and reconciles medications, gives first doses of medications, and delegates medication passes to the Medication Aides in accordance with all regulations. Audits care and ensures the highest quality of care is provided. Assist with picking up shifts on an evenly distributed schedule among nursing staff as needed. Schedules care conferences and updates care plans in accordance with regulations. Reviews and suggests changes to nursing policies and procedures to be reviewed and finalized by the home office/Executive Director/DON. Develops and updates the code book for memory care. Obtains, administers, and documents prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility standards of practice. Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, family (responsible party), and physician of residents change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assesses the condition of the resident. Keeps resident family and physicians informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications, or conditions of health as well as other team members. Tracks and completes immunizations. Completes resident evaluations. Completes resident admissions and discharges. Documents everything in PointClickCare. Enters and monitors labs. And all other duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with PointClickCare software Previous experience in a leadership role in an assisted living community. Holds an active and unencumbered nursing license in the state of South Dakota. Prefer an LPN, but will consider an RN as well. Minimum of two years' experience as a nurse in a healthcare facility. HOURS/BENEFITS: FT, exempt, employee of Peaceful Pines Senior Living. Generally, 40 hours per week. From time-to-time additional hours may be required for special projects, covering shifts, or for increased workload, which may include evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
