In this critical role, you will work directly with families and community partners to assess, investigate, and help protect the well-being of children.
Important Eligibility Requirement***
Applicants must have previously worked for the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) within the past five (5) years and successfully completed MDCPS Pre-Service Training.
Individuals who do not meet this requirement are not eligible for the position and should not apply.
Candidates who left MDCPS more than five years ago or who have not completed Pre-Service Training will be automatically disqualified from consideration.
Additionally, candidates cannot have been employed by MDCPS within the past six (6) months.

What You'll Do
As a Contract Social Services Specialist, your core responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Conduct initial and ongoing safety and risk assessments for reports of child maltreatment, including abuse, neglect, exploitation, human trafficking, and fatalities.
Investigate allegations received through Mississippi Centralized Intake and Assessment by conducting home visits, interviews, and collaboration with collateral sources.
Develop and monitor safety plans and make fact-based service recommendations.
Conduct historical record checks to assess prior agency involvement.
Schedule and attend forensic interviews, autopsies, and other case-related meetings.
Prepare and submit timely and thorough documentation, including investigative reports and case notes.
Testify in court and administrative proceedings as required.
Build and maintain professional relationships with law enforcement, legal partners, and community agencies to support investigations.
Mentor and support new staff in the investigation process.
Participate in team meetings, case staffing, and professional development activities.
Utilize data and time management tools to prioritize daily responsibilities and meet deadlines.
Participate in on-call rotation during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Travel routinely within assigned service areas (mileage reimbursed per state guidelines).

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Social Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Counseling, Educational Psychology, Family Studies, or a related field.
Additional Requirements (Strictly Enforced):
Successful completion of Pre-Service Training through MDCPS.
Prior employment with MDCPS within the past five (5) years.
Not employed with MDCPS within the last six (6) months.

The Extension Agent will support 4-H clubs in Pearl River County toward the achievement of increased participation and strengthened 4-H programs. The Extension Agent will identify, recruit, and train local volunteer leaders to enable them to effectively perform their duties while serving on committees, clubs and/or organizations. The Extension Agent will follow system and agency guidance to ensure participants safety in camps and programs for minors and work with others to ensure a safe environment for participants in camps/programs for minors. The Extension Agent will be expected to work in the community resource development area as it relates to 4-H. The Extension Agent will be expected to actively engage in Extension Coastal Region 4-H programs hosted in Pearl River County.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have an earned bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Youth Development, Family and Consumer Science, or a field of study determined by the Extension Service to be closely related, from an accredited institution of higher learning.
You will be expected to establish and maintain your permanent residence in Pearl River County or closely adjacent Mississippi county within six (6) months of employment unless otherwise approved by the Extension Director and the Pearl River County Board of Supervisors.

Resource Plus is seeking traveling store setup personnel for fixture installation and merchandising projects.
Must work well on a crew in a retail setting
Must be prepared to travel for extended periods of time
Experience assembling retail displays and setting merchandise to planogram is a plus

This is a full-time traveling position. You must provide your own reliable transportation.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. At the direction and delegation of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assists with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, completion of paperwork, and preparation of deposits. The Assistant Store Manager also performs stocking and cashiering functions, and performs other duties as necessary to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses.
DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
* Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
* Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing adequate training for employees, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring employee compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Follow company work processes to manage merchandise, including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and rotating merchandise on shelves and building merchandise displays.
* Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork, and facility controls.
* Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms; ensure merchandise is presented according to established practices and Store Manager direction.
* Assist in ensuring financial integrity of the store through strict cashier accountability, key control, adherences to company security practices and cash control procedures; authorize and sign for refunds and overrides, count register tills, and deposit money in bank.
* Assist with management of the store in the Store Manager's absence.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
* Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
* Good organization skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
* Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
* Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports.
* Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices.
* Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
* Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.
WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:
* High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
* One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Frequent walking and standing
* Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to run check out station, stock merchandise and unload trucks; which may also require the ability to push and/or pull rolltainers for stocking merchandise
* Frequent handling of merchandise and equipment such as handheld scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, merchandise containers, two-wheel dollies, U-boats (six-wheel carts), and rolltainers
* Frequent and proper lifting of up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 55 pounds
* Occasional climbing (using step ladder) up to heights of six feet
* Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level
* Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
* Occasional or regular driving/providing own transportation to make bank deposits, attend management meetings and travel to other Dollar General stores.
