Breast Imaging Radiologist Worcester, MA UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking to hire a Breast Imaging Radiologist interested in joining a thriving, flexible and supportive department. About our Department: * We are comprised of ~100 Radiologists, 28 residents, and 10 fellows as well as approximately 25 research faculty and 5 full-time educators, providing comprehensive imaging services through a fully integrated health care system in central Massachusetts. * We are the primary academic medical center for UMass Chan Medical School. * Our department has state of the art imaging equipment and a fully integrated IT infrastructure EMR (EPIC), PACS, PS-1 and has been at the forefront of implementation of a wide range of AI algorithms. * There are numerous opportunities to purse individual interests in medical student education, Health Services or basic science research and AI, supported by a robust Radiology clinical trials office and image processing core labs. Breast Imaging Division * We are comprised of 11 Breast Imagers and 1 Breast Imaging Fellow who coordinate clinical care from UMass Memorial's NAPBC approved Comprehensive Breast Center and multiple ACR designated centers of excellence within a 15-30-mile radius of UMass Memorial Medical Center. * Annually, we read approximately 60,000 screening mammograms, 15,000 diagnostic mammograms, 12,000 dedicated breast ultrasounds, 2,250 breast MRIs and 4,250 interventional procedures. * We function in a completely digital environment across all UMass Health sites with six 1.5 and two 3T breast MRI systems, 20 tomosynthesis units, 1 2D mammography unit, 12 ultrasound suites, and 2 ABUS suites. * All Breast Imaging Radiologists should be able to perform a full range of breast imaging and interventions. * Starting in the spring of 2026, Breast Imaging faculty will have the option of reading from home on average of one day per week. * Full time breast imaging faculty are allocated 40 non-clinical (academic days) per year. About the Job The Pathologist is involved in all aspects of Foundation Medicine's laboratory operations and serves as an internal subject matter expert, applying medical knowledge to advise decisionmakers in support of Foundation Medicine's mission to transform cancer care. The Pathologist is responsible for review and approval of documentation and reports, supporting clinical testing strategies, as well as new assay development and validation. The Pathologist also serves as an ambassador for comprehensive genomic profiling through education and research efforts within and external to Foundation Medicine. This position is part-time (under 20 hours per week) and may be assigned to work during any time that the laboratory is operational including evening and/or weekend hours. Regular onsite work at a designated Foundation Medicine location is an essential function of this role. Key Responsibilities: * Participate in specimen review for all clinical and biopharma testing performed at Foundation Medicine including FoundationOneCDx, FoundationOneHeme, and FoundationOneLiquid assays. * Review Hematoxylin and Eosin stain (H&E) stained slides for specimen adequacy prior to nextgeneration sequencing and immunohistochemistry testing. * Interact with the information technology teams to ensure appropriate functioning of software tools and integrity of clinical data and reports. * Assist in the development, training, and orientation of laboratory personnel in pathology review. * Maintain availability to work during times that the laboratory is operational including evening and/or weekend hours. * Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
