This is for a full-time pediatric hospitalist position that would be located at AdventHealth Ocala. AdventHealth Ocala has a 10 bed Pediatric Unit and Pediatric Emergency Department. Physicians would need to be comfortable with the care of general pediatric patients and well newborn care. Proficiency with procedures such as circumcisions would be a plus. The newborn service is supported by a level 2 NICU, staffed by experienced neonatologists, who will also be available on call for high-risk deliveries. Coverage would include in house as well as unrestricted call from home.

The Department of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine at Mayo Clinic in La Crosse, WI, is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Hospitalist to join a physician lead organization in a community practice. This is an opportunity to join a vibrant, growing pediatric practice in Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse, WI.
Duties include care for patients affected by prematurity, respiratory distress, infectious diseases, congenital heart disease, and/or other anomalies. Clinical responsibilities include resuscitation of newborns, care of healthy newborns, day-to-day management of babies in the Special Care Nursery, and care of hospitalized children. Procedures performed include circumcisions, umbilical central lines, lumbar punctures, frenulectomies, intubations, and emergent needle decompression of pneumothorax.
Responsibilities will include direct patient care, as well as opportunities for educating medical students and Family Medicine residents. This position is solely inpatient. Hours will vary between primary shifts and secondary call between 12 and 24 hours.
