    *Employment Type:* Full time *Shift:* Rotating Shift *Description:* * The Preop/PACU/PAT/PHASE 2 departments at Mount Carmel Dublin are unique. The Registered Nurse would expect to see pre-surgical and post-surgical care cases including surgeries from the operating rooms, Endoscopy suite, non-invasive cardiac lab, and cardiac and interventional radiology suite. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 in the PACU and a new patient can be expected in preop every hour. This is a fast-paced department with great energy and teamwork. Staff are cross trained in preop, PAT, PACU and phase 2 which offers the opportunity to gain additional skills and interact with different patient populations. This team will be comprised of tenured staff that are always happy to mentor new colleagues. The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Registered Nurse RN, collaborates in the spirit of teamwork is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the Organization. *What you will do: * * Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program . * Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing evidence based practice. Collaborates with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical, spiritual and educational components. * Accurately communicates pertinent information to appropriate team members in a timely manner. The Registered Nurse would expect to see a mixture of cardiac, end of life, oncology and medical/surgical patients. In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Staff Registered Nurse, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
