Job Summary and Qualifications
The Pediatric Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse delivers high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. This role requires specialized clinical expertise and a deep understanding of the unique needs of pediatric cardiac patients. The RN collaborates closely with pediatric cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and the broader perioperative team to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the surgical continuum.
Utilizing established nursing frameworks such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," the RN provides individualized care that supports optimal surgical outcomes. The RN advocates for the safety and well-being of patients and their families, ensuring that care is developmentally appropriate and emotionally supportive. This role also upholds the organization's mission, vision, and values by fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement in the pediatric CVOR environment.

Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for you to have predictability in your schedule
Culture of mutual respect and collaboration among all surgical staff
Continuous investment in equipment including surgical instruments, devices and patient positioning for you to do your best work with patient safety and workflow efficiency in the Operating Room
Rounding with unit leaders, including charge nurses, to ensure your voice is heard on suggestions for patient care and surgical workflow improvement
On-call is required during select non-business hours
What you will do in this role:
Evaluate patients prior to surgery
Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification
Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy
Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives
Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team - consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more
Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients
Assess patient condition, monitor throughout your shift, and document changes in patient condition along with the care provided thoroughly
Educate patients and families/caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment and follow-up measures

We're looking for Pediatric Intensive Care Unit RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Aurora, CO. The right RN should have 1-2 years' recent acute care experience. Read below for more requirements.
As a PICU RN, you'll provide critical care to pediatric patients as part of a broader medical team. You will collaborate with physicians, specialists and the patients' families to ensure the best coordinated care for these special patients. PICU Travel Nurses provide care to children and adolescents with a wide range of conditions, ranging from common childhood diseases to life-threatening illnesses.
As a PICU Travel Nurse, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary.
Follow continuous cardiac and respiratory monitor readings, such as EKG tracings, O2 stats, CVP/arterial line waveforms, if applicable, and report any observed changes.
Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs (both central venous and arterial).
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators.
Assist physician during examination, treatment and procedures, which can include life-saving situations.
Assist with the insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, external ventricular drains, Foleys, epidural catheters and endotracheal tubes.
PICU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. RNs should be able to easily liftpounds of equipment at times. PICU RNs may face hazards from exposure to chemicals and infectious diseases.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The expert practice of the OR Service Line Lead provides for the daily operations and maintenance of specific service lines. This position is essential in coordinating services as part of an interdisciplinary team of caregivers.
What you will do in this role:
You will collaborate with all other healthcare disciplines to achieve successful execution of the patient's plan-of-care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
You will meet the Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, The Joint Commission and the Plan for Provision of Nursing Care and the Plan for Provision of Care to Patients, and other regulatory requirements.
Your operational responsibilities include the coordination of staff education, outcome management, physician outreach, customer service, revenue integrity, and capital budgets.

What qualifications you will need:
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.

Job Summary and Qualifications
This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora of optimizing quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Super Pool RN is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the patient requiring telemetry, and/or medical surgical care. The Super Pool RN serves as primary nurse and/or care coordinator, leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. The Super Pool RN oversees and directs the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients. When the need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

II. Position Requirements:
A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse; BLS - Healthcare provider. ACLS preferred. ACLS is required for Tier IV and V. (Reference HealthONE RN Super Pool Criteria.)
B. Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
C. Experience: Tier I, II, II: Two year's experience in acute care preferred. Tier IV and V: Three year's experience in critical care.
D. Special Qualifications: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
