Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Weekends as needed, with 5 shifts required within each 6-week period
Frequent floating to pediatric, NICU, and patient sitter assignments required
Use of Epic EMR; experience preferred
Experience with Alaris pumps preferred
RNs must titrate drips including propofol, fentanyl, and epinephrine
RNs manage and troubleshoot ventilators, bubble CPAP, and BiPAP
Tele/monitor techs present, but RNs read and interpret their own strips
No call or standby requirement
2 orientation shifts provided
Provide specialized care for critically ill pediatric patients, including those requiring advanced airway and ventilator support
Collaborate with on-site pediatricians (available 24/7 for daytime and occasionally on-call at night)
No nurse aides or patient care techs on the unit; RN provides all aspects of care
Charge nurse available each shift with no patient assignment
Must be flexible with scheduling; block scheduling or special requests are not accepted
Expect to work at least one holiday per contract
Any color scrubs may be worn
First-time travelers are welcome for this assignment
A permanent residential address is required to confirm the 50-mile radius rule
