A Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Nursing - Child and Adult Psychiatric Mental Health in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Current, active, professional licensure to practice in an expanded nursing role in the Comm. of MA.
Current federal and state controlled substance certification/registration.
Minimum of 2 years advanced practice experience preferred in mental health.
Acts only within the scope of his or her state license.
Experience in mental health including clinical knowledge of psychopharmacotherapy and commonly prescribed medications, their side effects and expected outcomes.
Ability to evaluate a clinical situation, draw accurate conclusions, and independently make appropriate and timely decisions within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
Excellent written and oral communication skills while conversing with patients, families, health professionals.
Ability to communicate instructions clearly.
Good command of the English language, including medical and scientific terminology.
Strong conflict resolution and organizational skills.
Knowledge of and compliance with institutional, JCAHO, HIPAA, and other regulatory bodies' standards.
Takes professional and personal responsibility for remaining current in clinical knowledge and expertise required for completing all aspects of the job.
