Akron Children's Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) brings pediatric primary care for babies, children and teens to many northeast Ohio communities through our 35+ pediatric offices. Join our established Akron East practice of 5 experienced pediatricians as the practice continues to grow. This is an outpatient opportunity with shared well newborn nursery coverage at Akron General. Newborn rounds and call are shared between the Akron East and Fairlawn practices with call being approximately 1:12. Calls only reach the physician after being screened by our excellent after hour's nurse triage phone line which handles more than 90% of the calls. The office is open a half day on Saturday mornings which are rotated between all providers in the office. This is a busy existing practice, so we welcome new graduates or established providers to step into a practice that they can continue to develop and grow.
Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies, while retaining the local culture of each practice. Our physicians enjoy the use of EPIC as a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between people and their clinical care teams.
