Reporting to Regional Manager, the Vacation Relief Route Sales Representative is responsible for serving all grocery customers on variable routes by delivering fresh coffee daily. Additionally, the RSR will build and maintain relationships with store management to increase Peet's visibility within accounts. Previous DSD Experience is required.
This position will provide vacation relief to the SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA area.
Hourly rate is $23.11.
REQUIREMENTS
Forecasting and ordering a weekly order
Merchandising store displays to ensure proper inventory, pricing, and date code rotation
Complying with customers' scheduled receiving hours and policies
Building in-store displays
Managing Point-of-Sale inventory
Solicitation of new accounts fitting approved Peet's profile
Selling special programs to store owners and managers
Keeping all company-supplied equipment clean and serviced, including Peet's van, warehouse, and POS
Completing all required reports and paperwork
Ability to travel when needed

What will you do? You will deliver doughnuts to our grocery store partners. Great customer service, teamwork and communications skills are needed for creating professional relationships with the team at each store stop. Your daily routine will also include loading product onto your vehicle while cross-referencing your shuttle delivery orders.
On the move This role requires you to drive, sit, reach, bend, stand, carry, push, pull, grasp, and lift. You'll be exposed to indoor and outdoor environments. Let's start with driving. We want you to be safe while on the road. Using good driving decisions is the first step to preventing accidents, as are adhering to traffic rules and regulations, and reporting all moving violations and accidents involving injury or property damage. Keeping your vehicle clean is part of the deal, as is performing routine maintenance checks like checking the oil level and of course reporting any concerns to your Supervisor so they can be fixed. You'll need to be able to lift a decent amount of weight, up to 75 pounds at times. We have hand-trucks and carts to push and pull products up and down ramps or lift gates, on sidewalks and through store isles.
Assist in deliveries at our nearby locations when needed. What makes you a great fit?A valid driver's license is needed to get the job. Reading and writing proficiency are a must since you'll be validating product orders, reading boxes and labels, and reading and comprehending road signs, and vehicle dashboard/instrument panel cues. You'll be 21 years of age or older. It's extra awesome if you have prior experience with route deliveries, customer service, handheld devices for inventory, and driving experience with a commercial vehicle.

What will you do?You'll inspire customer wonder by making delicious sweet treats according to Krispy Kreme high quality standards. Making doughnuts requires preparing ingredients, following the right production schedule, weighing ingredients, tracking how the equipment is doing (from the proofer to the fryer and beyond), keeping an eye on how the doughnuts are looking as they come off the line, and helping to pack them up when needed. You'll also master your craft as you minimize waste, document the production specs and readings, and restock as you go. You'll get to know the equipment well and be able to troubleshoot it or even repair it when needed. You'll also keep things clean and up to the highest food safety standards. As our Doughnut Maker, you're looked to as a leader on the team, modeling the best communications skills, teamwork and respect of others. You'll help when your leader requests it in other areas at times too.
On the move This is a role for people who prefer not sitting still. Get ready to get moving while you create beautiful doughnuts! You'll lift 50 to 75 pounds often, and you'll pull carts with 100-pound bags of our doughnut mix. You'll need to be able to move around, read equipment dials and measuring devices, as well as use cleaning equipment.
What makes you a great fit?You have 2 - 4 years of experience working in a food manufacturing or a similar environment, doing food production or processing and reading standard operating procedures. You can troubleshoot minor equipment failures and are a good problem-solver. Experience in Food Safety is ideal. You can communicate with fellow Krispy Kremers effectively and know how to stay organized. You can read and do basic math as well as use weights and measurements. It wouldn't hurt if you are detail-oriented and enjoy documenting the work you do. Problem-solving and basic computer skills will also come in handy!
