Steve Parduhn and his father, Phil, started Pelco in 1985.
Founded in 1985, the company manufactures traffic signal hardware, utility products and decorative outdoor lighting, including push-buttons and signals for pedestrian crossings, traffic camera mountings and streetlights, according to the company's website.
They purchased the company in June of 1987 and subsequently changed the name from Pelco Sales to, simply, Pelco.
In 1996, Pelco purchased a new building, located in upstate NY.
