Requisition ID: 76420 Description Device Modeling Engineer Skyworks Solutions seeks a device modeling engineer who will play a key role in the development of Skyworks' SAW/BAW and MEMs technologies. This engineer will analyze a variety of characterization and metrology data to provide feedback to the device fabrication team and will also be involved with circuit and FEM modeling development. They will be work closely with both US and APAC engineering teams. Responsibilities * Work seamlessly as a member of Skyworks' Device Development Group to advance BAW/SAW and other MEMs technologies. * Advance data acquisition techniques and methods of analysis. * Analyze data from advanced metrology systems including acoustic vibrometers and thermal imagers. * Propose new ways to characterize, analyze, and find the limits of state-of-the-art MEMs devices including SAW and BAW devices. * Construct circuit and FEM models in collaboration with other device modeling and circuit design engineers. * Analyze on-wafer device statistics of key device parameters. Key outcomes that are desired: * Accelerate BAW/SAW roadmap for next generation size, performance and cost. * Good at multitasking. * Geared toward being a team player contributing to a seamless interface between BAW/SAW development teams in the US and Asia. Required Experience and Skills * Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry and 6 years of job experience or PhD degree (preferred) in same majors. * A proven track record as a team player on an engineering team, preferably with experience functioning effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-geographic engineering environment. * Deep understanding and knowledge electromagnetic theory and circuit design. * Deep understanding in either semiconductors and/or acoustic devices. * Knowledge in semiconductor process or MEMs technology is desirable. * Strong skills in data analytics -- programming & scripting -- is desirable. * Demonstrated strong communication /presentation skills. * Experience mentoring junior engineers. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge and experience in working with semiconductor and/or MEMs devices and test methodologies required by such devices. Knowledge of BAW/SAW devices is a big plus. The candidate will have the ability to function effectively in a multi-geographic environment and must also be able to collaborate well with other engineers to achieve divisional objectives. The candidate may be asked to travel to Asia to collaborate across different design and development engineering sites to proliferate modeling methodologies and/or techniques that he/she has developed. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $114,400 - $220,200 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
