Works directly with offline programmers that utilize CAM software, simulation software and 3D Models generated in Solidworks to support machining and process development. Work from complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications, job orders, tooling instructions and standard charts to obtain such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions. Make required adjustments to machinery to compensate for material tooling, machine or program conditions. Troubleshoot and resolve various types of operating difficulties, recommend corrective action on process failures within the department. Assists Maintenance Operator with repairs on treatment equipment (changes oil, greases motors, pumps, chains, etc.). Operates and maintains water distribution and wastewater systems (pumps, compressors, electrical controls, lines, valves etc.). Receives and responds to emergency situations related to treatment, collection, or distribution operations. Receives and responds to telephone inquiries or service calls. Inspects and logs consumer meter readings for billings and water consumption information. Performs preventative and service maintenance and repair on departmental vehicles. Collects water and/or wastewater samples for purpose of analysis. Completes general housekeeping tasks in order to maintain facilities (cleans, paints, maintains grounds, etc.). Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of the position and all agency safety procedures Remains informed of current developments and procedures pertinent to duties; may be required to attend seminars/training Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: One year certificate from college or technical school; and one (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
