Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) is seeking a Vice President for Environmental Justice (VP for EJ) to join our team working for a healthy and thriving New England for all. Building on our environmental justice work with communities and community partners, the VP for EJ will partner with CLF's senior team, advocates, and program and state leaders to develop and implement a clear and bold vision and strategy for CLF's environmental justice advocacy.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Law & Policy and with a focus on strengthening and expanding our relationships in the community, the VP for EJ will lead a team of advocates to advance environmental justice in close collaboration with, and informed by, communities and partners bearing disproportionate environmental harms and inequitable sharing of environmental benefits. The VP for EJ will also work to build a culture and consciousness of environmental justice internally, working to ensure that environmental justice is fully integrated as a priority across the organization's programs and states, aligns with CLF's mission and anti‑racist work, and is adequately resourced. The position will be based in our Boston office with opportunity for some remote work within New England.
What you'll do:
Lead the vision and implementation strategy for CLF's environmental justice work, ensuring both are aligned with the organization's strategic priorities;
Advance CLF's environmental justice strategy by developing cases, program initiatives, and campaigns that are informed by the affected communities and aligned with CLF's priorities;
Work closely with other senior leaders to build partnerships with people and communities most impacted by the issues we work on and where CLF policy, programmatic and legal actions will have the greatest impact;
Collaborate with CLF leadership and colleagues in integrating environmental justice priorities and concerns into programs and states across the organization;
Engage in effective and inclusive management practices that support team members and ensure a healthy and inclusive workplace culture;
Work with CLF's development team to identify and cultivate philanthropic and individual support and prepare grant proposals, project budgets and reports;
Work with CLF's Finance team to develop and manage an annual program budget, including pass‑through funds to community partners;
Work with CLF's communications team and consultants on campaign plans, messaging, and collateral materials targeted to a variety of audiences including CLF members, funders, partners, and other practitioners in the field;
Represent CLF before partner communities, public officials, supporters, and other audiences.
What you'll need:
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental justice work in close partnership with communities and community‑facing organizations;
A law degree and active bar membership in good standing in any state (New England state is preferred);
Extensive knowledge of the environmental justice movement regionally and nationally;
Relationships, connections, and credibility with the environmental justice advocacy community;
Demonstrated success in navigating complex policy and programmatic initiatives;
A collaborative leadership style, with proven ability to lead, manage, and support interdisciplinary teams;
Substantial experience in managing people and projects;
Strong skills in networking, fundraising, financial management, and communications;
Demonstrated commitment to addressing issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:
* Physician Support: Working with other team members to monitor the physicians' clinical, operative, meeting, and personal schedule/calendar.
* Scheduling: Scheduling and registering patients for office visits and procedures. Obtaining and updating patient demographic, insurance, and primary care/referring doctor information.
* Physician and department liaison: Being the primary contact between the physician and patient families. Helping answer and resolving patient issues and concerns. Managing patient call volume; answering appointment requests and routing incoming calls to appropriate destination.
* Coordination of care: Acting as the face of the practice and managing every step of the patient's care. Communicating the plan of care to the family.
* Clinic management: Preparing charts for physician's clinics and checking patients in for various appointments. Organizing all patient information, including verifying insurance and obtaining required medical records and approved insurance referral authorizations on each patient. Promptly and accurately logging updated information.
* Administrative tasks: Patient correspondence, distributing incoming mail, sorting and uploading outside notes and radiographs into the patient's medical record. Processing patient paperwork and requests and assisting in letter writing and various projects and tasks when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
* High School Diploma/ GED.
Experience:
* Dental administrative and/or general medical surgical scheduling experience a plus.
* Basic customer service and computer skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
* Demonstrates the ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
Schedule: M- F, HYBRID, Shifts can be either 7:30am-8:30am- 4pm/5:00 pm. Location can be either Waltham or Boston.
This role is eligible for a $2,000 sign on bonus (not eligible for internal candidates and not eligible for former BCH employees who worked here in the past 2 years).

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Biopharmaceutical Sciences and Manufacturing Operations (BSMO) is a key member of Vertex's Financial Planning & Analysis team. This role will partner closely with Commercial Manufacturing and Tech Ops (CMTO), Commercial Finance and Disease Strategy Team (DST) Finance in support of our Cell and Gene Therapies portfolio, with a specific focus on CASGEVY, the first-ever approved CRISPR-based gene-editing therapy used to treat Sickle Cell Disease and Transfusion-Dependent Thalassemia. This role will have the opportunity to work across the organization by providing analysis and insights that will drive key decisions around manufacturing strategy and resource allocation in order to optimize the profitability of CASGEVY. In addition, this position will be an integral part of the BSMO Finance team and play a key role in support of P&L, Capital and Inventory budgeting, forecasting, long range planning, and month-end close processes.
This position is based in our Boston, MA location (Seaport area) and requires a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in office /2 days remote on a weekly basis.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Partners with the External Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial functions to influence CASGEVY business operations and optimize decisions as part of the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
* Identifies ROI/trade-off opportunities to drive profitability and support key decisions around CASGEVY manufacturing and supply chain strategy.
* Oversees the monthly/quarterly accounting close for expenses and accruals related to CASGEVY Operating Expense and COGS, including flux analysis and compliance with SOX control requirements.
* Supports analytics and transparent reporting to drive forecast accuracy and inform on key drivers of any variances to plan, with full transparency on any judgments about risks and opportunities for both operating expenses, capital expenses and COGS.
* Supports the financial planning process (annual budget, forecasts, long range plan, etc.) by providing forward-looking observations and developing key scenarios.
* Develops and coaches team members to encourage growth and new opportunities and contributes to an atmosphere of inclusivity across the team
* Works closely with other members of the CFO organization including Commercial Finance, DST Finance, Strategic Sourcing and Accounting to maintain a continuous improvement mindset and promote strong communication, sharing of best practices and efficient processes.
Basic Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA and/or other advanced degree preferred.
* 10+ years of relevant experience in finance managerial role, demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills and a track record of success working in a team-based environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience in business partnering with Manufacturing/Supply Chain executive teams
* Proven ability to proactively manage efficient processes across Operating Expenses, Inventory and COGS, driving high-quality inputs from the business in support of creating and managing complex budgets, forecasts, and analyses in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Deep understanding of Biotech/Pharma manufacturing finance to address a broad range of challenges and business issues across all functions with the ability to make and facilitate quick decisions
* Expert analytical and financial modeling skills to evaluate a broad range of financial questions.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to present complex financial insights to senior stakeholders.

Pay Range:
$182,400 - $273,600
