1981 - On December 29, Community Hospital Foundation is created as the parent/holding company for the hospital and related subsidiaries.
1983 - A 42,000-square-foot addition to Community Hospital's main building opens.
1988 - The Outpatient Surgery Center opens.
1991 - The Rehabilitation Services department at Community Hospital is expanded.
1999 - The Comprehensive Cancer Center opens at Community Hospital, providing state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment, and support for cancer patients and their families.
2003 - Completed in June, a three-story underground parking garage, with 316 parking spaces, is built under the hospital's main entrance, improving parking for patients and visitors.
2004 - The Ryan Ranch Outpatient Campus opened in July.
In 2004, PHC became a joint venture between Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) and CHMG Solutions of North Carolina.
2007 - Forest Pavilion opens, adding 120 spacious patient rooms, each with a private bathroom and shower, comfortable daybeds for family or visitors who wish to spend the night, and views of the surrounding pine forest or waterfall and Healing Garden.
On October 1, 2009, the first Peninsula Primary Care office in Carmel opened.
Fitness and medical expertise will combine in the 34,000-square-foot center in Marina, opening in spring 2011.
2014 - Community Hospital opens an Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, providing multidisciplinary rehabilitation services to individuals who have suffered an acute illness, injury, or accident resulting in significant functional decline.
2016 - Community Hospital Foundation, Community Hospital's parent company, is renamed Montage Health, reflecting the montage of health and wellness services provided through the hospital and its sister companies.
