Radiologic Technologist Summary
Our Imaging department is actively searching for a Radiologic Technologist. This position coordinates and performs radiology exams per protocol and physician orders. Some office based duties as assigned.
Radiologic Technologist Position Requirements
Education
* Graduate of an AMA approved radiology program.
* Associate Degree
* Certification by the ARRT and licensed by the State of Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform portable digital (DR) or computed radiography (CR) X-Rays at various healthcare facilities, ensuring high technical quality and clinical diagnostic standards.
Transport and set up portable X-Ray equipment within facilities, obtaining images that meet diagnostic requirements and transmitting them to radiologists for interpretation.
Conduct electrocardiograms (EKGs) when required, transmitting data to cardiologists for timely interpretation.
Ensure accurate processing and submission of exam documentation and billing paperwork in accordance with protocols.
Maintain and perform routine inspections and cleanliness of X-Ray equipment and company vehicle, ensuring safety and compliance.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and healthcare staff to coordinate scheduling and resolve any technical or logistical issues.
Provide excellent customer service, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy to clients and patients.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Certifications:
ARRT certification in Radiography required.
Valid state licensure for Maryland (or eligible for licensure, reimbursed after 90 days).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and push/pull objects weighing up to 50-100 lbs., with accommodations as needed.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Monitor patients' well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

Critiques images inputs through only those optimal for interpretation. Repeats images as necessary.
