Purpose
To perform quality checks and other quality related tasks for the consumable division.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
Must have an uncompromising attitude towards quality.
Must thoroughly understand, enforce and follow the Lincoln Electric Quality Management System as it applies to all daily activities.

Maintain manufacturing quality performance metrics and/or quality records.

Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience.

Completes a variety of atypical assignments.
Works within defined technical processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments.
Works with a limited degree of supervision, with oversight focused only on complex new assignments.
Acts as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
Completion of Lincoln Electric 6 Sigma Gray Belt online training or direct equivalent is highly desirable.
Additional technical training in the Quality Assurance field or Root Cause Analysis is highly desirable.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
Demonstrated computer skills in MS Office and Windows operating system.
Knowledge and understanding of divisional products & related processes.
Basic knowledge of Lean principles, 5S, quality assurance tools, procedures, measurement techniques
Ability to develop and maintain records and to follow projects through to conclusion.

Perform card adds or replacements, software upgrades, and associated testing.
Recommend improvements to processes that may impact the quality of our network assets or improve overall efficiencies for any related process or system.

Perform site audits and reconcile data discrepancies in coordination with Network Surveillance and other groups as necessary.

The EMS Academy is a full-time eight-week paid training and education program for individuals interested in starting a career in the Emergency Medical Services field as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). In addition to the paid training, this position offers medical and retirement benefits.
The EMT is fully responsible for functioning within the Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Basic Life Support (BLS) Scope of Practice and is accountable for the quality of emergency and non-emergency medical care delivered. In delivering pre-hospital care, the EMT performs all basic life support techniques, provides specified field treatment for medical / traumatic emergencies and transports patients to the appropriate medical facility via ambulance. In addition to ambulance transportation, the EMT also is required to provide medical transportation by paratransit van or by medical taxi as permitted by the Public Utility Commission.
EMTs conduct patient assessments to assess the nature and extent of illness and / or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance and provides basic life support to all patients, adhering to established protocols, organizational procedures, and the PA DOH EMS Scope of Practice.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively participate in a paid ten-week intensive classroom and clinical field EMT education.
Maintain a course average of 80% or higher throughout the course.
Obtain Emergency Vehicle Operation certification (PA DOH EMSVO Certification) by the end of the programs training.
Obtain PA Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician Certification (PA DOH EMT certification) within eight weeks (56 calendar days) from the last day of the course.
Serves as an Emergency Vehicle Operator or Paratransit Personnel as required, or until the employee acquires the necessary state certification.
Requirements:
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Be fluent in the English language - Must be able to read, comprehend written materials, interpret spoken information, and effectively communicate via in writing and in person, the English language, telephone, telecommunications, and other electronic devices.
Be able to stand frequently; walk; sit; use hands to fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; stoop; kneel or crouch.

Possess Valid Driver's license with no license suspension in the past two years or DUI convictions in the past four years

This position reports to the Occupational Health Manager and assists by providing appropriate, compassionate, quality care to Partners for both occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries and documenting all care provided in a professional and effective manner
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Primary duty is to provide routine and emergency medical care (within the scope of WV EMT -B Region 8 Protocols) to partners at the workplace.
Adheres to health management protocols, medical directives, policies and procedures, and physician standing orders according to scope of practice while following guidelines indicated by Occupational Health Manual.
Conducts tasks in a professional and effective manner and within legal, ethical, and moral standards of care.
Adheres to HIPAA compliance of confidentiality of Partner's personal health information
Establishes and maintains good working relationships with employees
Adheres to all state and federal regulations including OSHA, Worker's Compensation, etc.
Works closely with TPA and area medical community in dealing with WV Workers Compensation claims
Reports all Lost Time and Recordable injuries to Safety Manager and OHM
Knows location of medical equipment and manuals and will perform checks and calibrations of equipment as scheduled
Must obtain certification in urine drug screen and breath alcohol collections.
Performs Pre-Employment, Random, Reasonable Suspicion & Safety Sensitive Random, DOT and Non- DOT drug and alcohol testing using appropriate forms
Performs Post Offer medical assessments with use of supporting forms
Maintains Excel Spreadsheet to track work related injuries
Accesses Internet & use PPC programs SharePoint
Participates in health and safety teaching of annual Blood borne Pathogen training and monthly in services and training as required by OHM & PPC
Notifies Occupational Health Manager of any pertinent physical and emotional changes of symptoms presented by Partners
Keeps department clean and orderly.
Puts away med supply orders and re-stock supplies as needed

There are no supervisory duties associated with this job.
Partners must continually make the decision to follow instructions of the Occupational Health Manager, Safety Manager, and HR Manager to perform all job assignments within designated guidelines.
The person performing this task provides medical/first aid care within the scope of WVEMT-B Region 8 Protocols).
Difficulty of Duties:

Education : Must maintain current WV EMT basic certification as well as a current CPR/ First Aid/ AED card . High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Work Experience:
Technical Skills: Must possess the ability to read and understand protocol of the Occupational Health and Safety function. Must be efficient in the use of medical equipment, manuals, and calibration of equipment as needed. Must be certified and efficient in the performing urine drug screenings and breath alcohol collections. Must have computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, SharePoint, PPC programs and Internet. Must understand WV Worker's Compensation requirements. Must understand OSHA requirements including, but not limited to Blood Borne Pathogens, Ergonomics, types of injuries, etc.

Position Summary:
Perform first level of on-site technical, data recording and assessment within the manufacturing environment of Quaker Houghton customers. Follows standard procedures and has readily available supervision or management where necessary to provide a high standard of Fluidcare support.
Job Accountabilities:
Participate in addition of chemicals; including coolants, greases, oils, lubricants, cleaners and biocides as directed by site staff. Perform bio-stick dip tests of all machine sumps and central systems.
Assist in the maintenance of coolant filters, washers, paint systems, pumps, air handling systems, etc. for sump changes and cleaning, as required to keep fluids within proper limits.
Measure and record coolant parameters and maintain lubrication schedules to ensure parameters are met to maintain the highest coolant conditions. This may involve the dropping and cleaning of tanks when required.
Liaise directly with the customer so that changes in coolant parameters are highlighted and can then be acted upon and enter results in appropriate databases. Prepare detailed shift reports.
Assist in routine maintenance on customer s equipment and fluid systems including product additions, filter changes, emptying gons, sump cleaning, etc. as directed.
Assist in disposal of contaminated articles (i.e. pails, gloves, samples, etc.) in accordance with prescribed measures, including waste management and recycling initiatives
Assist in maintaining and calibrating all laboratory equipment; such as scales, pH meters, glassware, incubators, etc. in accordance with site control plan.
Assist in properly maintaining tools and utility equipment such as pumps, sump suckers, coolant dispensers, etc. in a safe and efficient manner.
Where appropriate: Cut-up, mount and prepare parts for metallurgical testing. Surface etching of parts for analysis. Measurement and metallurgical determinations consisting of hardness and microstructure analysis
Supports site staff general organization initiatives (inventory, storage rooms, labeling, etc.)
May work in manufacturing environment with union associates.
Interact with customer s production and technical personnel and other suppliers.
May be required to operate hand tools, shop tools and equipment. May be required to operate industrial equipment, such as: fork trucks, sump suckers, power washers, tuggers, etc.
May require working flexible hours.

* Properly maintains tools and utility equipment such as pumps, sump suckers, coolant dispensers, etc. in a safe and efficient manner.
* Inspect and perform routine maintenance on all above equipment and fluid systems including product additions, filter changes, emptying gons, sump cleaning, etc. with limited guidance from site staff.

* May be responsible to provide environmental waste services regarding plant metal chips disposal, swarf disposal, cardboard and plant trash. May include the management of the roll off boxes and hydraulic trash hoppers.

Perform experienced level of on-site technical and administrative duties within the manufacturing environment of Quaker Houghtons customers. Generally works under limited supervision and with independent judgment and discretion. Job Accountabilities:
* Participate in addition of chemicals; including coolants, greases, oils, lubricants, cleaners and biocides as directed by site staff. Perform and interpret bio-stick dip tests of all machine sumps and central systems, with limited guidance.
* Inspect, monitor and maintain coolant filters, washers, paint systems, air handling systems, etc. for sump changes and cleaning, as required to keep fluids within proper limits under limited direction of Site Manager or Program Manager.
* Make addition of chemicals; including coolants, greases, oils, lubricants, cleaners and biocides to fluid systems.
* Report and interpret all results and usage on a daily basis, via report generation; initiates corrective action.
* Properly maintains tools and utility equipment such as pumps, sump suckers, coolant dispensers, etc. in a safe and efficient manner.
* Inspect and perform routine maintenance on all above equipment and fluid systems including product additions, filter changes, emptying gons, sump cleaning, etc. with limited guidance from site staff.
* Assist in disposal of contaminated articles (i.e. pails, gloves, samples, etc.) in accordance with prescribed measures, including waste management and recycling initiatives.
* Maintain and calibrate all laboratory equipment; such as scales, pH meters, glassware, incubators, etc. in accordance with site control plan.
* Has responsibility for general cleaning of oil storage rooms, laboratory, equipment and areas of the production floor (i.e. chipping, mopping, sweeping, emptying trash, etc.).
* Support site staff general organization initiatives (inventory, storage rooms, labeling, etc.) Expected to work independently.
* May work in manufacturing environment with union associates.
* Interact with customers production and technical personnel and other suppliers
* May be required to operate hand tools, shop tools and equipment. May be required to operate industrial equipment, such as: fork trucks, sump suckers, power washers, tuggers, etc.
* May be responsible to run the plant Waste Water treatment facility on site. Includes support system with HR black filtration, staging water/oils and recirculation. Post treatment staging, purifying/ ultrafiltration and sending the water back to the city. Includes running the system, PMs, compliance testing and all controls under vendors license for logs and routine audits.
* May be responsible to provide environmental waste services regarding plant metal chips disposal, swarf disposal, cardboard and plant trash. May include the management of the roll off boxes and hydraulic trash hoppers.
* Carries out other duties as directed. May have tasks specifically related to quality control, metalogical heat treat and the steel industry. Provide other specifically agreed Fluidcare services as and when required by the Site Manager and/or Lead Technician this may include operating a fork truck, recycling equipment, etc
* May require working flexible hours.
* Must be able to safely work in a variety of potentially hazardous situations while adhering to Quaker Houghtons Life Saving Rules.
Work Environment:
Work in a manufacturing environment; may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. May occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and trip and slip hazards. The noise level in the manufacturing environment is loud.
Ensure a safety mindset throughout designated area of responsibility
Maintain the highest EHS standards while at customers site.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies
* High school diploma or GED required. May be required to obtain certifications/licenses.
* Two to three years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate intermediate reading skills. Ability to effectively present information.
* Demonstrate basic mathematical skills. Precise and accurate in dealing with figures and details. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, fractions, conversions and proportions.
* Must possess ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
