This position is responsible for the general kitchen cleaning duties including the cleaning and mopping of kitchen floors and trash removal, and re-stocks all supplies/food in the assigned areas. in addition, this position will transport clean service ware and allocate in accordance with event order to supply the function or restaurant. Essential Functions - Maintain the kitchens and equipment in a clean, sanitary and fully operable condition - Operate the dishwashing equipment to ensure that all china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly sanitation of such is maintained, empty trash; implement established safety policies and procedures - Report any faulty equipment to management immediately - Re-stock and replenish buffet areas - Stock the kitchen and restaurant with supplies - Break down boxes and other food and beverage supplies - Maintain the buffet with the foods needed - Comply with all health and safety standards - Attend meetings as scheduled - Other job related duties as assigned

What This Role Is…

Description
Associates must provide excellent customer service to all guests. Attentively welcome every customer that visits The Red Barn Milk Bar and greet them within 10 seconds with a positive outgoing attitude and a smile.
Meeting and making connections with customers, listening to shoppers' needs and deliver an excellent service experience consistently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
Cash register skills- All cash register operations must be performed accurately and honestly.
Respect and treat customers and fellow co-workers in the manner in which you want to be treated.
Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Stock products and put merchandise away.
Wash dishes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Respond to inquiries regarding Fair Oaks Farms brands and products, tours, restaurant/food options and merchandise.
Answer telephone calls and direct inquiries to proper personal.
Stay knowledgeable and up to date with company's news and apply new knowledge to your occupation.
Be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time.
Prepare & handle food products safely.

Be aware of current promotional events and sales
Multitask and help co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications and education requirements:
Outstanding customer service skills.
Preferably a High school diploma or GED
Positive outgoing attitude
Knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel
Retail sales experience preferred but not required
Applicants must be at least 16 years old by May 26, 2025.
Previous experience in food service preferred.
Additional notes:
Part-time position, Weekends are required
All employees are expected to learn general information of all the departments and may be required to be cross-trained.
All employees are expected to stay updated with general information regarding Fair Oaks Farms, Dairy Adventure, Pig Adventure, Crop Adventure, Pork Education Center, BP and Dairycatessan Market, and Farmhouse Restaurant.
Cross-training of some departments may require a minimum age of 18, in order to operate certain equipment.

WE LOVE OUR WORK.
Works as a member of a dishwashing crew ensuring soiled items are placed in proper racks or containers which carry them through a dishwashing machine.
Inspects, removes, and properly stores all clean items from the dishwashing machine.
Washes steam kettles, tilt fryers, and food preparation equipment too large to put in dishwashing machines.
Washes pots, pans and traps; maintains neat appearance of working areas and cleaning equipment storage areas. Washes, rinses, and sanitizes all dishware and utensils
Supplies dishware to food preparation stations as needed; removes soiled dishware and cooking equipment from food preparation stations.
Keeps work area (floor, machine, shelving, carts, etc.) clean at all times.
Performs miscellaneous duties, such as polishing silver, working in store room and preparing for banquets, special events, etc., as assigned.
Maintain organization and ensure proper rack stacking, silver presoaking and operation of dish machine.
Ensure proper set-up, breakdown and maintenance of all special events.
Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
Train new stewards as required
Clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, steam tables, flat boxes and ceiling vents, according to schedule or as specified by chef.
Responsible for swept and mopped floors. Keep floors clean and dry, pick up wet spills immediately
Provide information and explain My Choice benefits, property amenities and marketing programs to our guests.
Can operate dish machines to company and manufacturer specifications.
Uses proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer in the dish machine.
Restocks all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans. Removes all garbage. Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes the dish machine at the end of a shift.
Able to make quick decisions when dealing with departmental and employee needs.

Completion of high school education or equivalent. Six (6) months of experience in stewarding, kitchen maintenance, kitchen operations or similar. Knowledge of food and beverage service operation is preferred.
