Eileen C. McDonnell has been chairman and chief executive officer since July 2013. She was appointed chief executive officer in 2011 and president in 2010, after serving as chief marketing officer since 2008. Before joining Penn Mutual, she was president of New England Financial, a wholly owned subsidiary of MetLife, and senior vice president of the Guardian Life Insurance Company. Ms. McDonnell is a former member of the Master of Science in Management faculty at The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa., where she held the newly endowed chair for Women and Financial Services and is the author of “Marketing Financial Services to Women.” Ms. McDonnell serves on the Board of Managers of Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Penn Mutual. Ms. McDonnell serves on the board of the Insurance Federation of Pennsylvania and the board of Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS). In 2016, she was named to the Drexel LeBow Center for Corporate Governance Advisory Board. A graduate of Molloy College, Rockville Centre, N.Y., Ms. McDonnell majored in mathematics and computer science, and received an honorary doctor of laws (LL.D.) degree in 2011. She earned her MBA in finance and investments from Adelphi University, Garden City, N.Y. and was recognized in 2013 for ‘Outstanding Service” to the university.

Chad Sheaffer is a Chief Financial Officer, Co-founder at Penn Mutual and Senior Investment Analyst at Haverford College and is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has experience at Susquehanna University and has worked as Portfolio Manager at Hirtle Callaghan & Co; Investments Analyst at Penn Mutual; and Chief Financial Officer at Pro Forma Staffing, LLC. David O'Malley is president and chief operating officer of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company and has overall responsibility for all of the company’s operating areas, including Information Management & Technology, New Business, Underwriting, Advisor and Client Services, Product Management, Advanced Sales and Product Marketing. Mr. O’Malley is also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Penn Mutual Asset Management, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Penn Mutual. Mr. O'Malley joined Penn Mutual's Investment Department in 1994 and his extensive knowledge in the investment field enabled him to build a highly successful career that has led to positions of increasing complexity, including vice president and head of fixed income. After his appointment as chief risk officer in 2006, Mr. O'Malley became a member of Penn Mutual’s executive team. Later, as senior vice president of Product Management, he led the development and delivery of competitive products and solutions to meet the needs of the company's clients and advisors. After taking on additional executive leadership responsibilities for several operating areas, he was named chief financial officer in 2010 and chief operating officer in 2013. On January 1, 2016, Mr. O’Malley was promoted to president and chief operating officer, designating him as Penn Mutual’s 19th president. His thoughtful and collaborative leadership skills, expertise and results-driven determination have helped build high performing teams in many areas of the company, and ultimately the business, returning value to Penn Mutual’s policyholders. As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Penn Mutual Asset Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Penn Mutual, Mr. O’Malley is responsible for overseeing the $20 billion investment adviser and manager of managers for the Penn Series Funds, Inc., a proprietary fund complex, as well as the investment portfolios of Penn Mutual and its subsidiaries. Mr. O’Malley serves on the Board of Managers of the full service broker firm Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Penn Mutual.

Greg Driscoll joined The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company as assistant vice president in 2004, with 16 years of experience in information management and technology; much of it in the financial services industry. After successfully aligning Penn Mutual’s technology resources with its business needs and direction, he was promoted to vice president of Technology Architecture and Services in 2006. In that role, Greg was responsible for streamlining the architecture that services Penn Mutual’s technology resources and maintaining the ongoing reliability of the operating environment. In 2009, he was named the company’s Chief Information Officer. Currently, Greg is responsible for driving business results through the delivery of ever-increasing capabilities and new technology. He plays a key role in helping Penn Mutual meet strategic and operating goals through collaboration with business leaders, talent management, a focus on current operations, and enhancing business capabilities. Greg’s previous positions include assistant vice president of Disability Management Applications, and director of Architecture and eBusiness Development for CIGNA Health Services/Intracorp, a subsidiary of CIGNA Corporation. Prior to joining CIGNA, Greg worked in Advanced Technologies at The Vanguard Group, where he participated in delivery of the first internet-based account access solution in the financial services arena. Greg graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and earned a Masters in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s University.
