Be more accepting of disabilities. Provide performance evaluations so you know how you are doing instead of waiting two years to discuss safety issues.
I researched the company and went to job fairs. Penn United was my first choice of companies to work for. I was disappointed it didn't work out but was hired by a competitor.

Easy going work environment. Low cost, high yield benefits program. Monthly bonuses and perks for record shipping months. Core values of company are projected by most of the employees, your always gonna have a few people that you'll never make happy. All around good place to work. Great in house cafeteria for low cost on-site food options. Large amount of starting paid time off and holidays. Safety oriented without smothering you.
Some of the lower management personnel tend to pick favorites based on social interaction versus actual production. Money management and distribution towards facilities and projects could be evaluated a little better before putting forth funding. There tends to be alot of waste (opinion) on over zealous ideas that produce little or no results.

Upper management needs to supervise group managers and team leaders better, and make sure they are following the core values of the company. The carbide group is ran like a totally separate company and this is why they have a hard time retaining employees. The actions and attitudes of just a few in management positions cause an extremely negative atmosphere that effects the entire building. These problems could definitely be corrected by higher lever management but they choose not to.
Company wide functions, good lunches in cafeteria and inexpensive benefits.
