POSITION SPECIFICS
The Communications and Signal Processing Division of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University is seeking engineering undergraduate interns to work part-time with senior technical staff to research, design, develop, integrate, and test advanced wireless RF communications systems.
ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.
Responsibilities include:
Algorithm development and/or software design
Develop C/C++ or equivalent code to interface with developed hardware and associated interfaces (SPI, I2C, etc)
Integration of Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware/software components as appropriate
Evaluate/develop communication security protocols
Interns pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Math are preferred.

We are seeking Research and Development Undergraduate Engineer interns to join the Antennas, Computational Electromagnetics, and Propagation Department team of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State.
Students studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and/or Physics are encouraged to apply
You will:
Conduct EM and antenna analyses
Modify and test EM propagation and antenna models
Implement various methods from published works for EM propagation and antennas
Serve as active, hands-on, contributing members of the research staff at ARL.
Required skills:

Responsibilities:
Coordinate the Weekly What's the Buzz session which includes:
create the weekly schedule with a rotating topic relating to wellness and recovery support as well as rotating snacks available each Thursday night from 7pm-8pm
market the What's the Buzz program to all students via social media, the website, screens, and other methods
Ensure the program is always staffed appropriately; typically, by attending the program each week or through coordinating Ucrew students to staff the program in your absence
Ensure all paperwork and tracking of attendees is completed in a timely manner
Create a report at the end of the semester showcasing the impact of the program
Assist with marketing, planning, and implementation of large recovery-friendly events such as Allies of Recovery Training, Narcan Training, Recovery Interest meetings, etc.

Compensation:
This position is hours per week throughout the academic semester with a semesterly stipend of $1000. The hours are flexible to work within the candidate's class schedule but the ability to attend or ensure the What's the Buzz program is staffed properly is a requirement. The contract is per semester and can be renewed at the beginning of each semester after mutual agreement between supervisor and student is made based on completion of work, continued interest, and ability. Administrative work can be done at home or in the office.

School Psychology Intern

The office of Student Support Services offers a paid school psychology internship for eligible candidates in school psychology. This position reports to the Project Specialist.
WISH: Winchester Investing in Student Mental Health will build a collaborative partnership between WPS and universities. Under the direct supervision of a licensed school psychologist, interns will work to meet the following roles and responsibilities:
Conducts psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, personality, and behavioral functioning and their educational needs and writes comprehensive psychological reports and holds parent conferences to discuss results
Participates in child study team meetings and in eligibility meetings to assist in the determination that a child has a disability and needs special education services
Consults and collaborates with school administration, instructional staff, and parents regarding the individual behavioral and academic needs of students
Assists in the implementation of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program and provides consultative services using a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) approach for assigned schools
Works collaboratively with school-based teams to support students with emotional and behavioral disabilities and provides counseling services for these students
Provides crisis intervention in response to critical incidents using the NASP PREPaRE curriculum and assists in conducting threat assessments
Participates in scholarly activities and didactic training seminars to support professional growth and development
Performs other duties and accepts other responsibilities as assigned by the Intern Supervisor or Project Specialist

A recommendation from the university that the student is eligible to enter into a school psychology internship
Qualifications/Required Education and Experience:
Working towards a Master's degree in school psychology and is eligible for internship as determined by the graduate program
Has strong oral and written communication abilities and productive time management skills
Demonstrates leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and colleagues
Salary:
Full-Time: $50,715 annually, 7 hours a day, 180 days (two semesters), OR 7 hours a day, 90 days (one semester), benefits
Part-Time: Less than 7 hours a day, less than 90 days total, no benefits
Extras:
Housing: $1,200 for Full-Time Employees; $600 for Part-Time Employees, one time payment
Tuition Assistance: $5,000 for Full-Time Employees; $2,500 for Part-Time Employees
