Additionally, you will collect data at critical locations using prisms and poles to develop design files for highway mapping, while also staking right-of-way and bridge points under the supervision of your manager. Additionally, you will prepare analyses and reports on Vector Management studies, collect aquatic samples using specialized equipment to assess water quality parameters, and gather samples of black flies or other macroinvertebrates for water quality evaluations. Your work will involve utilizing equipment to monitor environmental parameters during sampling, including continuous measurements of temperature, dissolved oxygen, and humidity. You will collect samples of mosquitoes, black flies, and ticks, using the data to inform various metrics that determine nuisance thresholds and assess disease risk. A GIS-based Oracle database will be employed to upload sampling data and establish sampling sites, with GIS technology utilized to generate maps upon request to illustrate sampling results and disease presence. You will perform field inspections of oil and gas wells during all phases of their lifecycle, including drilling, production, alteration, inactivity, and plugging, to verify compliance with applicable laws and permit requirements. Inspections will also confirm that wells are drilled at approved locations and that permits remain valid. Duties include investigating gas releases and spills, collecting samples and data, and preparing detailed inspection reports to document findings. You will conduct gas storage reservoir maintenance inspections and respond to public complaints involving health and safety concerns, environmental impacts, site reclamation, abandoned wells, and potential violations. Additionally, you will communicate identified issues to operators, initiate enforcement and compliance actions, recommend corrective measures, issue notices of violation, and assist with drafting orders, penalties, and citations.
