DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Aide Trainee, you will deliver direct patient care using patient-centered approaches to mentally ill consumers; assist patients in all activities of daily living, including bathing, shampooing, oral hygiene, and eating; escort consumers to on- and off-grounds appointments; provide nursing care for consumers with risk of suicide; and respond to medical emergencies. You will also attend all trainings as directed, report all changes and incidents to the charge nurse, document changes and incidents in the consumers' chart, and act as a patient advocate so the rights of the consumers are protected.
