1973

In 1973, William and Penny Kanter purchased a struggling crossword-magazine business and re-launched the company with the new name Penny Press.

1982

Since 1982, zinc has been the main metal used in American pennies.

1996

In 1996, Dell Magazines and Penny Press joined forces to create Penny Publications.

1997

In early 2010, Penny Publications renewed its agreement for distribution via Comag Marketing Group LLC (CMG) for sale, marketing and distribution of all of its titles, both under Penny Press and under Dell Magazine brands, in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere.
