Role/Responsibilities: As a summer intern on the Battery Cell Engineering team, you'll work on the following: Key Deliverables * Successful Integration of Cell Lifetime Model for Cell Hardware-in-Loop (CHIL) Testing * Quantify the errors between the advanced controls vs actual cell response Deliverable Details * Import the Lifetime Model and build a Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) environment with a cell plant model to validate Lifetime Model outputs. * Code-generate and build Dynamic Link Libraries (DLLs) with embedded Lifetime Models, and run tests to estimate the cell's State of Health (SOH) in real time. * The candidate should understand how the vehicle's SOH is estimated using the Lifetime Model and how to validate it within a Model-in-the-Loop framework, ensuring successful integration with the battery tester. * The candidate will gain hands-on experience in rigorous model validation through testing of lithium-ion cells. * The candidate will also learn how to compile embedded controls from Simulink and develop test protocols that integrate real-time SOH calculations during fast-charge cell tests.
