The Research Technician will conduct laboratory experiments and hands on study activities of projects in areas of Pharmacokinetics, Safety Pharmacology and Toxicology as well as provide for welfare of test systems used in biomedical research for a variety of laboratory species within the limits defined in their training record.
What you will be doing?
Maintain study support areas and procedure room(s) set-up, keeping them clean, stocked with supplies and ready for use
Assist in study related functions including routine care such as feeding, watering, sanitation, maintenance, and room cleaning
Provide handling, restraint, identification, and randomization of test systems
Perform various biological sample (e.g. blood, urine, fecal and tissue) collection procedure
Perform, label and collect various study requirements such as observations, food and water consumption, body weight(s) and enter data
Perform various dosing techniques such as oral and iv administrations
Maintain records in an accurate and legible manner
Assist in the operation and maintenance of equipment such as washers, scales and balances, and analytical equipment
Provide weekend, holiday and after-hours work, usually on a rotational basis
Participate or assist in the conduct of studies and help solve technical problems
Assist in laboratory species health programs
Provide observations for detection of disease or other health problems, and administer prescribed treatments as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned
The Requirements of the Position:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
1 year experience working in a laboratory preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and animal behavior observation skills
Vet Tech & surgery experience a plus
Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Computer skills, including the ability to learn a new system
Ability to work under specific time constraints
Ability to work extended hours beyond work schedule to include, but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays; sometimes on short notice
Work Schedule would be Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday

The Project Manager is responsible for exercising independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard technique. Primary Responsibilities
Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Leadership Team
Leads team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems
Establish, maintain, and adhere to project budget and schedule.
Prepares client presentations and presents design concepts and drawings
Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to quality assurance, quality control and Klover best practice standards
Assures Klover document standards are met and archives documents appropriately
Sets up project team software parameters and manages standards
Communicates with client representatives to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews and delivery of final presentation.
Mentors and directs the work of less experienced staff and professionals.
Assist reporting staff to use resource materials including: Code books, architectural design practices, mathematics, building materials, and/or general construction technology to complete drawings.
Assures the overall strategy for producing documents and organizing date is filled. This includes incorporating elements in the Building Information Model (BIM) or other 3D Model
Communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provides support as necessary
Coordinates use and tracks shared electronic documentation and files with project team, clients and consultants.
Assists in planning and conducting work making minor adaptations and modifications to complete working drawing set(s)
Review the quality of your own work and others. Utilize checklist and/or research documents to support your methods and practices. Review drawings to and correct any errors/omissions prior to submittal to Studio Director and/or Principle(s)
Review projects to assure that the current set of designs reflect the latest changes
Review the Contract and know the scope of work to be completed. Keep Principle(s), Studio Director abreast of when you or your staff have been requested to perform additional services
Writes reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions
Attends on-site visits, field reviews and project meetings and may prepare and coordinate the review of contractor's schedules, submission of shop drawings and samples
Participates in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, technical issues
Prepares meeting minutes of consultant coordination meetings
Takes an active role in the billing procedures including: knowledge of what phase of the project(s) are complete and matching the billing, structure to that phase and taking a proactive approach to any problems that may delay billing prior to billing submittal

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance (and lead/mentor/supervise team members) to the interior/exterior of facilities including, but not limited to, restrooms, break rooms, sidewalks, and lobby. Perform basic repairs and maintenance of building and equipment such as chairs, tables, doors, light fixtures, floor tiles, walls, pipes/plumbing, vents, ceiling tiles, picnic tables, awnings, and move file cabinets, hang pictures, banners, and decorations. Help keep facilities and grounds free of trash and debris.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and research mechanical issues to repair and/or provide recommendations to solve issues. Meet with vendors who provide maintenance to HVAC systems, fire, backflow, plumbing, electrical, security, and generator systems.
Ensure routine maintenance to the HVAC systems (belt, filter, and thermostat replacements), and assist with specific maintenance to the systems.
Assists in preparing construction specifications and project plans. Directs contracted projects to ensure adherence, follows all specifications. Assists management in solving issues with service providers. Coordinates all facility inspections; report findings and coordinates required repairs and/or replacements. Maintains and controls adequate building temperatures utilizing software systems at sites where applicable.
Work with maintenance vendors for mowing, trees, shrubs, bedding areas, and snow removal. Also works with janitorial vendor to ensure quality services are provided.
Work with vendors and fuel distributors on preventative maintenance plans. Inspect and perform weekly generator maintenance tests.

The Role at a glance:
We are looking to add an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian to our Cura Hospitality team in Newton, KS. As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals. * This position will be scheduled 1 day per week (either Monday's or Friday's) *
What you'll be doing:
Providing nutritional expertise to the health care team and educating patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
Following the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
Interacting with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
Actively participating in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
What we're looking for:
Must-haves:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents' rights.
Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.
Nice-to-haves:
Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
