Peoples Comunty Bank company history timeline

1891

The Peoples State Bank opened its doors on November 2, 1891 with $10,000 of invested capital and not only survived the Great Depression but did so with no loss to depositors.

Since 1891, The Peoples Community Bank has made getting to know its customers and serving them well its first priority.

1921

By the time winter rolled around, the new Peoples State Bank opened for business on January 7, 1921.

1938

In 1938, Irwin LeCocq Sr. purchased a controlling interest in the Bank, joined as President and established the Bank’s core values of honesty, integrity, respect, and commitment.

1977

Since 1977, Peoples Community Bank has served the communities of southern Missouri.

1987

His son, Charles LeCocq, was elected President and CEO in 1987, carrying on the family tradition and supporting the core values set by his grandfather.

1995

In 1995, the Bank changed its name from Peoples State Bank to Peoples Bank.

1996

Community Bank Spring Green and Plain opened for business on May 13, 1996 with offices in Spring Green & Plain and grew quickly to $75 million in assets.

2005

On July 15, 2005 The Peoples State Bank of Mazomanie, Wisconsin and Community Bank Spring Green and Plain, Wisconsin merged two talented staffs to become The Peoples Community Bank.

2013

He served in that capacity through early 2013 when he became Chairman of the Board and continues as CEO. Charles has grown the Bank to 23 branches and more than $2.6 billion in assets.

2014

On May 1, 2014 the bank opened a loan office in Richland Center, Wisconsin which grew quickly necessitating a full-service location.
