Established in 1994, Peoples Health was founded by medical providers and guided by physicians.
In 1997, in the formative years of Medicare Advantage (at the time called “Medicare + Choice”), Peoples Health launched a “demonstration project” to help Medicare test the Medicare Advantage concept.
Medicare started rating Medicare Advantage plans in 2008, and Peoples Health has always scored high.
