The Early Childhood Education Division is looking for an experienced Full-Time Family Engagement and Enrollment Coordinator to provide a wide range of activities and services to families with children enrolled in the early education program. Guided by the Principles of Family Strengthening and Support, the Coordinator will engage with parents and guardians in relationships based on equality and respect, recognizing their existing strengths, resilience, and resources. The focus of the work for the Coordinator will be to 1) improve communication between educators, specialists, and the childrens families; 2) promote engagement of parents/guardians in their childrens education; and 3) encourage greater family participation in the centers operation and activities. Responsibilities will include coordinating family events/workshops during the evenings or weekends and participating in local or statewide early education committees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Enroll children in accordance with contracting agencies; conduct initial intake and family assessment, including completion of required enrollment registration forms. * Determine eligibility for families to access childcare financial assistance according to EEC guidelines; facilitate placement of children on the EEC statewide financial assistance waitlist as needed; ensure that financial assistance eligibility remains current, completing re-assessment as required using the Child Care Financial Assistance (CCFA) system. * Maintain monthly statistical data for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) grants through the Fall River Community Development Agency. * Conduct family needs assessment, making referrals to supportive services and resources as needed, including parenting education, basic needs (food, clothing, childcare, employment, transportation, etc.), and health and wellbeing (mental health, substance abuse treatment). * Provide case management as needed to families receiving comprehensive services through the development of a family support plan; Facilitate connection to services as required to meet family support goals; follow up with external case management agencies (DCF, Healthy Families, Early Intervention, etc.) as needed and as permitted by parents/guardians. * Attend local and regional meetings as needed to remain informed about available resources for families. * Report incidents of suspected abuse or neglect to the Department of Children and Families working in collaboration with the Social Worker, Program Director, and the Vice President of Childrens Services. * Work with the program team to deliver annual family engagement and educational programs. * Participate actively in program training, meetings, supervision, and evaluation as required. * Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Maintain all program and Agency-required trainings. SUMMARY: The Skills Trainers role is to provide 1:1 assistance and direct skills instruction for youth diagnosed with a developmental disability who are enrolled in the DESE/DDS program. The Skills Trainer will work as part of a family team in the familys home and in the community when appropriate. Hours vary between 3-6 hours per week depending on individuals needs. Skills TrainersIn-Home: assists the individuals participation in typical home based activities. The goal of the skills trainer is to work in the home with the participant to help develop, increase, or support the participants daily living skills development in the areas of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Independent Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). This may include personal hygiene tasks, chores, meal prep, cooking, laundry or use of phone or other electronic device etc. Skills TrainersCommunity Based: Assists the individuals participation in community based activities. The goal of the skills trainer is to accompany the individual in the community to help increase the participants community living skills Typical examples, may include learning to use the library, making a purchase at a store or participating in a group based community setting like a swim or gym program. Skills Trainer Service Requirements: * This service is not respite care, it is skills based instruction. * Payment for support staff over a vacation period will be reviewed by DDS Area Service Coordinator and then the Regional DDS Family Support Director. * The same Skills Trainer is encouraged to provide supports both in-home and in the community, as applicable based on the individuals plan. The Day Habilitation program is looking for a full-time, 40 hours per week, Paraprofessional to provide instruction and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The employee works as a member of the Day Habilitation team to provide premier services while assisting program participants with daily living skills including but not limited to dining and personal care needs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Follow the daily schedule as written by the Program Director or Coordinator. * Complete daily data sheets, including documentation for behavior services. * Implement service plan goals as requested. * Inform the supervisor or nursing staff of any unusual behavior, sings of illness or injury. * Ensure individuals are actively engaged in assigned activities. * Ensure all protocols are followed to include but not limited to: toileting, dining, dietary, PICA (persistent ingestion of nonnutritive substances), behavior guidelines, seizures and safety. * Ensure positive behavior supports are implemented for all individuals. * Maintain all program required trainings. QUALIFICATION * Knowledge obtained through attainment of high school diploma/GED preferred. * One year of experience in a healthcare setting or working with individuals with a mental health or developmental disability preferred but not required. * Ability to escort, assist, and/or transport program participants. * Ability to work with mental health and/or developmentally disabled individuals. * Ability to assist and/or support individuals as needed and in emergencies that require full physical assistance. * Ability to physically restrain individuals exhibiting unsafe behavior. * Ability to follow policies, procedures, and directions. * Ability to work and communicate with others. * A qualifying criminal background check required, qualifying driving record, and a valid drivers license are preferred. Our Residential Program is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team as Assistant Program Operations Managers. This position will serve as a management team member responsible for assisting the Program Operations Manager in the overall functioning of assigned residential site(s). Responsibilities: * On a daily basis, this position will provide a structured routine that includes but is not limited to house meetings, individual outings, meal preparation, ADL care, facilitate family visitations, and distribute medication while maintaining human rights at all times. * This position will implement Positive Behavior Support and individual programs as identified in the Individual Service Plans. * At times, de-escalation and crisis management techniques may be required to maintain the safety of others. * Ability to follow organization policies, procedures, and management decisions. * Quality treatment, contract compliance, budget management, facilities, hiring, training and retraining staff, and ensuring proper coverage is maintained to meet the individuals needs while tracking overtime. * Work with all Residential sites to provide supports as needed. * Ensure all necessary equipment and inspections conform to regulatory standards. Requirements: * Associates Degree in Human Services or related field and one year experience; or suitable combination of education and experience. * Ability to supervise or coordinate others in a residential setting and respond to division emergencies. * A qualifying criminal background check, driving record and a valid drivers license are also required. * A flexible schedule to include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays. * A TB screening and Physical is required upon hire and a TB update every two years after Preferred: * Individuals with interest in C.N.A, PCA and HHA type work are encouraged to apply. * Students in Human Services, Psychology, and Sociology programs are encouraged to apply. * Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to demonstrate effective project management and leadership skills.
