Patient Education Provides proper explanation of procedures to patients, their families, and others as needed to ensure understanding of procedure. Assesses and chooses teaching strategies appropriate to the patient's/family's age specific needs. Adapts teaching strategies based on patient's response, readiness to learn and level of comprehension.     This position involves a summer engineering/computer sciences internship position where the successful candidate will receive hands-on technical experience from one of the Midwest's premier GIS-services providers. As an intern, you will gain practical experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial data analysis. You will work closely with our GIS team to support the design, development, and maintenance of GIS-based applications and tools. This role will provide exposure to the application of GIS technology in real-world scenarios, helping to solve complex spatial problems and enabling data-driven decision-making. This is a full time (40 hours per week), seasonal/temporary position for Summer 2026. Exact start and end dates will be discussed with final candidates. Pay Transparency: Pay for this role will be $19.00-$22.00/hour based on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Assist in creating, updating, and managing GIS datasets and spatial databases. Support the development of GIS applications, tools, and models relating to GeoAI. Perform geospatial data analysis and visualization to support various projects. Collaborate with other team members on spatial data collection and mapping projects. Contribute to the integration of GIS with other business systems. Our program structure: Our externships are flexible-they can range from two to eight weeks during the year, according to your college curriculum - but are typically two or three weeks in length. Our externship rotations are designed to allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice the problem-solving, technical and communication skills that they have acquired during their clinical preparation.
