A proficient Lean Manufacturing Engineer in the additive materials and process team will apply engineering and scientific principles to innovate, mature, and demonstrate next generation turbine airfoil additive technologies. They will solve complex manufacturing issues using equipment/process data and use Flightdeck and lean principles. Technical Expertise: Develop specialized knowledge in CMC processes and materials, staying updated on the latest technical developments and industry best practices. Strategic Contribution: Contribute to strategy and policy development within the CMC Lean Lab, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivery of high-quality results. Problem Solving: Use technical expertise and data analysis to solve moderately complex tasks or problems in operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering. Apply new perspectives to existing solutions. Collaboration: Work across functions, leveraging multiple internal and limited external sources to make informed decisions and drive process improvements. Leadership and Mentorship: Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, providing guidance and support. Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Process, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMC) is highly preferred. Candidates with experience in other highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, automotive, or energy) will also be considered.
