This includes stocking shelves, rotating shelved product, setting up displays, stocking and rotating products in coolers, organizing and rotating products in storage rooms, and moving products from storage to the sales floor. This position interacts with personnel at the store location.
This position is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing from 20-45 pounds per case, as well as bending, reaching, and squatting while merchandising and moving products. This job follows a consistent schedule with specific start times and customers (opportunity to attain different work schedules with time.)
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Merchandise store shelving, coolers and displays with products in assigned accounts
* Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf
* Transport products to and from backroom to shelf location
* Use equipment to transport products (e.g., U Boats, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.)
* Display promotional material such as signs and banners in accounts
* Keep back room stock in neat and orderly condition
* Communicate store issues to store managers and Pepsi management
* Build customer relationships at the store level
* Comply with operating procedures (e.g., scan-in/scan-out, following designated route, etc.)
* Service accounts during designated times established by management
* Deliver customer service (e.g., communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs, etc.)
* Ability to operate under minimal supervision (self-managed role)
* Use hand held devices to write/input orders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* 18 years or older

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
* Working for a retail business or grocery store (e.g., understanding store operations, knowing the backroom and inventory, stocking aisles and shelves, etc.)
* Moving products within a store (e.g., safely stacking and moving products on equipment such as a u-boat, hand truck/dolly and/or breakdown, etc.)
* Merchandising products (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, making products look attractive, rotating products, cleaning shelves, eliminating out of stocks and out of date products, etc.)
* Managing backroom/stock room inventory (e.g., organizing pallets, stacking and storing inventory or products, etc.)
* Serving customers (handling customer complaints, responding to customer requests, or meeting customer needs)
For positions that require use of a personal vehicle for a sales route, mileage reimbursement is provided.

Install and maintain equipment and collateral to ensure proper function and appearance
Complete food safety audits based on the customer's required visit frequency and evaluate each department for compliance

Ecolab is seeking a Territory Representative to join our Global Food Retail Services team in Toledo, OH market. In this customer-facing role, you'll deliver Ecolab's industry-leading cleaning and sanitation programs, identify food safety risks, and help prevent the spread of foodborne illnesses. You'll manage a territory of customers, grow sales through service excellence and new product introductions, install and maintain equipment, and provide hands-on training and audits that drive operational success and customer satisfaction.
How You'll Make an Impact:
* Install and maintain equipment and collateral to ensure proper function and appearance
* Complete food safety audits based on the customer's required visit frequency and evaluate each department for compliance
* Facilitate the sale of Ecolab products by making suggestions for improvements with existing products and new innovations
* Train customers on use of Ecolab products and services
* Maintain positive relationships with customers by evaluating their needs with a focus on sales opportunities
Position Details:
* This is a field-based position and may require travel to the following locations and surrounding areas: Jackson, Ann Arbor, Monroe, Toledo, Bowling Green, Findlay, Defiance
* Overnight Travel: 1-2 overnights per month
* Weekend Coverage: Responsible for weekend coverage 1 in every 12 weeks

Minimum Qualifications:

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The total Compensation range for this position is $58,700-$88,100 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.

Job Overview
The Merchandiser is responsible for presenting products in a way that will attract the attention of consumers at our customer retail locations. This position services and maintains multiple Convenience Retail, Drug and Value accounts by merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following all quality guidelines. Ability to follow plan sets, planograms and communicate to store management and cross-functional personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Fills, merchandises and rotates products in cold vaults and on the shelf according to procedures and special programs. Physically moves product from sales floor to cold vault and displays. Creates and distributes point of sale materials on display and shelve where permitted. Rotates product.
* Fills and merchandises coolers within outlet as well as any displays on sales floor.
* Organizes and maintains back room cooler by stacking and arranging product by package and flavor, arranging the return of empty shells, damaged and out of date product for driver pick up, and disposing of any cardboard and plastic.
* Fosters business relationship with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, new opportunities and upcoming activities discussions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
* Must have effective communication skills which include listening, speaking and writing.
* Prior customer service experience preferred in a retail setting.
* Merchandisers must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively to satisfy needs of a variety of customers with differing demands and expectations.
* Willingness to work in fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting 50 lbs. repetitively).
* Able to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.
* Critical thinking skills.
