**Summary**
Perdue AgriBusiness has an exciting opportunity for a **MaintenanceTechnician II** at our facility located in **Salisbury, MD** . In this role you will collaborate with a dedicated and diverse team to support safe and smooth plant operations by continuously improving our machinery and maintenance reliability. You will also have an opportunity to grow in your role and learn on the job while you receive additional maintenance certifications and training. Associates in the Maintenance Tech II classification are required to have previous experience and knowledge of the fundamentals of industrial maintenance and systems, which is typically attained through the MaintenanceTechnician I classification and certification.
This position has a target wage of $22.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Performs a broader range of duties, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, demonstrates a higher degree of independence, and may occasionally provide technical direction to less experienced maintenance staff.
+ Must be able to demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech II proficiency within 10 months of hire.
+ Provides equipment maintenance, interventions, and repairs, and conducts preventive machinery maintenance.
+ Performs intermediate level troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
+ Provides Operators with support around machine overall equipment reliability.
+ May assist in troubleshooting equipment set up and production changeovers.
+ Responds to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner. Recognizes and reports unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations. Maintains work records and prepares clear and concise oral and written reports.
+ Understands and follows all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds the standards. Utilizes appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards. Learns and observe all safety precautions as required by Perdue.
+ Works all required work schedules. Day travel to nearby locations sometimes required
**Minimum Education**
+ High School Diploma or GED and Equivalent Experience.
+ 2-yr Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance. (Preferred)
**Experience Requirements**
+ 3-5 Years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or Equivalent military experience.
+ Intermediate Proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging.
+ Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.

Responsibilities Primary Accountabilities:
Tech Level I
Ensure that the processing and packaging equipment is properly maintained to maximize reliability, safety, and to minimize or eliminate any adverse effect on processing, packaging, and storage of frozen fruit.
Understands the hazards of ammonia and Freon refrigeration systems.
Assist operations in change overs.
Monitor and record system information as necessary, report any abnormal conditions, and ensure proper communication across shifts.
Perform assigned preventative maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on all associated equipment as assigned by supervisor. Identify damaged or defective equipment and repair in a timely manner.
Perform proper Lock-out/Tag-out procedures when working on equipment.
Perform basic welding and fabrication assignments from mechanical drawings and sketches.
Diagnose, analyze, investigate, and correct basic causes of malfunction of production and plant equipment.
Keep work areas clean, neat, and orderly.
Other duties that is reasonably associated with the above functions of the job.
Tech Level II
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures fresh to frozen food processing and packaging. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Tech Level I
Furnish and use hand tools normally expected of mechanic technicians.
Ability to obtain working understanding of a CMMS system. Document work completed, assign time and parts to proper WO.
Good working knowledge of conveyor systems, packaging machinery, pumps, gear reduction boxes, dicers, and other processing machinery.
Must work well under pressure and insure safe performance at all times.
Must demonstrate a cooperative behavior with co-workers, supervisors, and management.
Working knowledge of GMP's within a food manufacturing facility.
Fork-lift and Aerial Lift license.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Basic computer navigation or HMI, CMMS, access procedure folder on network, and E-mail proficiency.

**Summary**
Maintains, services and performs repairs on equipment in order to ensure proper operation of hatchery equipment and electrical systems.
**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Reads, interprets and understands manufacturers' equipment manuals, preventative (PM) task sheets and safety policies.
+ Performs equipment adjustments and repairs, preventative maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
+ Performs specific duties during both production and non-production hours in a timely manner with OSHA Lockout/Tagout and Company safety regulations.
+ Monitors performance of equipment and informs maintenance and production supervisors of potential problems.
+ Maintains log books by applying math skills through the equipment PM stages in order to calibrate machinery to performance standards.
+ Provides "hands on" training and direction to lower level mechanics and techs in properly servicing, repairing and maintaining the equipment operated by the Company.
**Minimum Education**
+ High School or equivalent
**Experience Requirements**
+ 2 - 4 years.
+ Reading, writing and analytical skills are required.
+ Must have all personal tools at all times and be able to use and operate hand tools and industrial shop equipment.
**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
+ Position is active. On the plant floor activities such as troubleshooting and re-design of existing systems are routine.
+ May need to move equipment occasionally.
+ May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
+ Position requires an associate to have the ability to move throughout the complex and all facilities. .
+ When in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
+ May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
+ May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
+ May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
+ May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
+ Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
