**Summary**
We are looking for future leaders to join us! We are actively seeking hardworking, energetic, self-starters to join our Operations team in Petaluma, CA as a **Pathways Participant** with a program start of June 2026.
The **Perdue Pathways Program** is designed to develop talented individuals into future leaders in the company's operations management field.
Our 24-month program combines hands-on training by direct observation and shadowing, learning and development sessions, continuous improvement projects, and a series of structured departmental rotations. You will be fully immersed and actively engage in all aspects of business in an operational facility. Upon successful completion of the program, the Pathways Participant will have the opportunity to transition into a supervisor role.
During your first 12 months, you will rotate through and engage with key areas of the Perdue Farms organization, gaining broad exposure and hands-on experience. Upon successful completion of the rotation, the anticipated next step would be a supervisor role. The second year of the program focuses on your continued growth, featuring dedicated mentorship, a personalized development plan, leadership training, and participation in talent reviews. This comprehensive program is designed to prepare you not only for your immediate role but to support long-term career success at Perdue Farms.
In this position, you will be offered the opportunity to learn and develop skills vital for a career in operations; including, production, continuous improvement, quality assurance, safety, shipping, and distribution.
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $82,000 per year with scheduled increases at the sixth and twelfth months of employment.

**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Acquires knowledge to include administrative functions, manpower reports, disciplinary procedures, budget, production processes and requirements while contributing ideas and recommendations for continuous improvement.
+ Develops an understanding of the team process using the criteria: establishing common mission/goals of all team members; providing clear role definition of team members; encouraging shared accountabilities; implementing effective team procedures and processes, giving and receiving feedback, problem solving, decision making, employing coaching and effective communications; ensuring team "spirit"; and providing recognition for team accomplishments.
+ Implements the policies of the Quality Improvement Process with the team/department.
+ Monitors the performance of the team to ensure goals are attained and graphs results for display and presentation at briefings and/or meetings.
+ Develops self-awareness and consistently applies best practices in communications, emotional intelligence, integrity, and exhibits other Perdue values.
+ Rotates through various functions in fresh or cook plants which may include the Hatchery, Feed Mill, Live Production, Live Haul, Wastewater, Accounting, Human Resources, Receiving, Dressing, Evisceration, Giblet Packing, Grading, Cut Up, Stretch Bag, Deboning, 28 Degree Cooler, Box Room, Weight/Price/Label and Shipping departments.
+ Completes projects related to cost-reduction or improved performance.
+ Attends learning events/activities including on-ground classes, web-based instruction, and e-learning platforms.
**Minimum Education**
+ Completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university within 24 months of the Pathways program starting.
+ Program starts in June 2026 will accept applications from the following graduation years: May 2026, December2025, May 2025, December 2024, and May 2024
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, Business or BusinessAdministration, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture.
+ GPA of 3.0 or higher.
**Qualifications**
+ Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
+ Must be at least 18 years old.
+ Must be willing to work a rotation of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to work for 8 hours or more in a stationary position or travel on a wet, moist, dry, greasy floors which may include metal or plastic grating surfaces with up to 4 hours in a single interval.
+ Ability to work from various types of ladders and/or stairs.
+ Exposure to and work in temperatures of less than -40 degrees and 75 degrees with ambient humidity.
+ Noise exposure of 110 db, and light intensity range of 50 to 100 foot candles.
+ Bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, sitting, and grasping varies in repetitions, distance, degrees, angle, weight, heights, longest interval of time, objects grasped, and body positions depending upon the maintenance task required. Exposure to chlorinated water (50 ppm, ammonia vapors ) 5 ppm, dry ice, caustic detergents, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, and other chemicals found in a poultry processing plant.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The role of the Production ManagerTrainee will assume normal duties and be given special projects, management assignments, and research projects by Rose Acre Management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Responsible for learning and understanding all layer house processes.
* Responsible for working with the production manager to ensure weekly goals are met.
* Aid in monitoring the houses for production and livability goals.
* Responsible for performing, communicating, and evaluating post mortem inspections of birds. This will be required on a monthly basis.
* Responsible for training, implementing, and enforcing all animal welfare policies as defined by Rose Acre Farms.
* Responsible to oversee that production and feed goals are followed, and for accurately reporting progress weekly.
* Responsible for working with house managers and employees to ensure that everything within the houses is running smoothly.
* Responsible for filling in when employees miss, quit or take vacations.
* Responsible for ensuring that pests are kept to a minimum in the houses and that all traps and pest bait are set out weekly.
* Responsible for managing employees in his or her state, scheduling them, and enforcing Rose Acre policy guidelines upon them.
* Responsible for reporting ANY problem in his or her area that is beyond normal duties to the area complex manager immediately.
* Responsible for filling out all necessary paperwork and ensuring that it is distributed and sent to the correct areas.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
* High school education is required/post-secondary training (direct courses or training certifications) in poultry management is also required - previous experience in layer house operations, farming or grain operations, or general agricultural experience is highly desired.
* Employee must be capable of understanding, preventing, and identifying contagious poultry diseases that could have a large impact on confined poultry. Training or post-secondary training in this area is required.
* Must be capable of working in a physically demanding environment, which may include temperature variances, egg odor, general dampness, flies and mice, and general spills or messes that are common in a layer house facility.
* Must be able to work with live animals and continually have their health and well-being at the top of the daily list. (All house workers must continually monitor three essential items - feed, water, and temperatures.)
* Must be able to perform misc. management job functions - must be able to make quick and rational decisions in dealing with personnel, equipment, etc., and must be able to direct questions or problems that are above the quartile manager's jurisdiction to a higher manager.
* Must have excellent communication and people skills - must be able to motivate other house employees to fulfill their job to the best of their ability.
* Must have a basic knowledge of electricity and its function in the layer houses.
* Must be capable or be capable of learning how to perform maintenance on a variety of equipment - such as egg and feed conveying systems.
* Must be able to fill in when there are excessive misses in the houses area or when employees are on leave or vacations.
* Must be capable of treating ALL employees in the complex with respect and courtesy.
* Must ensure that ALL Rose Acre Employee Handbook policies are followed, and must be capable of reprimanding any employee who violates Rose Acre Policy.
* Must be able to follow all Rose Acre safety and biosecurity standards thoroughly, and must report ANY violation of these policies to the complex manager.

* Responsible for working with the production manager to ensure weekly goals are met.
* Aid in monitoring the houses for production and livability goals.
* Responsible for performing, communicating, and evaluating post mortem inspections of birds. This will be required on a monthly basis.
* Responsible for training, implementing, and enforcing all animal welfare policies as defined by Rose Acre Farms.
* Responsible to oversee that production and feed goals are followed, and for accurately reporting progress weekly.
* Responsible for working with house managers and employees to ensure that everything within the houses is running smoothly.
* Responsible for filling in when employees miss, quit or take vacations.
* Responsible for ensuring that pests are kept to a minimum in the houses and that all traps and pest bait are set out weekly.
* Responsible for managing employees in his or her state, scheduling them, and enforcing Rose Acre policy guidelines upon them.
* Responsible for reporting ANY problem in his or her area that is beyond normal duties to the area complex manager immediately.
* Responsible for filling out all necessary paperwork and ensuring that it is distributed and sent to the correct areas.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
* High school education is required/post-secondary training (direct courses or training certifications) in poultry management is also required - previous experience in layer house operations, farming or grain operations, or general agricultural experience is highly desired.
* Employee must be capable of understanding, preventing, and identifying contagious poultry diseases that could have a large impact on confined poultry. Training or post-secondary training in this area is required.
* Must be capable of working in a physically demanding environment, which may include temperature variances, egg odor, general dampness, flies and mice, and general spills or messes that are common in a layer house facility.
* Must be able to work with live animals and continually have their health and well-being at the top of the daily list. (All house workers must continually monitor three essential items - feed, water, and temperatures.)
* Must be able to perform misc. management job functions - must be able to make quick and rational decisions in dealing with personnel, equipment, etc., and must be able to direct questions or problems that are above the quartile manager's jurisdiction to a higher manager.
* Must have excellent communication and people skills - must be able to motivate other house employees to fulfill their job to the best of their ability.
* Must have a basic knowledge of electricity and its function in the layer houses.
* Must be capable or be capable of learning how to perform maintenance on a variety of equipment - such as egg and feed conveying systems.
* Must be able to fill in when there are excessive misses in the houses area or when employees are on leave or vacations.
* Must be capable of treating ALL employees in the complex with respect and courtesy.
* Must ensure that ALL Rose Acre Employee Handbook policies are followed, and must be capable of reprimanding any employee who violates Rose Acre Policy.
* Must be able to follow all Rose Acre safety and biosecurity standards thoroughly, and must report ANY violation of these policies to the complex manager.

The Foreman Trainee Program is designed to be a rotational training experience through all 4 Feedyard departments.

A Foreman Trainee typically starts their first rotation in the Feed Delivery Department. The Feed Foreman is responsible for managing cattle intake through daily feed calls and delivering feed rations. The foreman supervises the feed delivery crew and reports directly to the Feed Delivery Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Cattle Feed Intake:
Determine daily feed calls based on cattle intake patterns, cattle type, weight, health, and weather. Foreman will visually appraise cattle behavior and bunk condition to accurately determine appropriate feed requirements.
Foreman will be responsible for coordinating feed requirements and timing with feed delivery, hay delivery, and cattle shipping/receiving when receiving fresh cattle.
Productivity:
Daily management of feed truck crew to ensure correct, accurate, and timely delivery of all rations. Visual inspection and appraisal of the feed ration.
Expense Budgets:
Shared responsibility with the Growyard Manager for daily operating expenditures in the feed delivery department.
Truck Maintenance:
Oversee preventative and scheduled maintenance on all feed trucks, scales, and feeding system computers.
Additional Responsibilities:
New employee orientation and training of Feed Delivery employees.
Assist the Growyard Manager on annual performance and wage reviews.
Deliver appropriate coaching, direction, and daily supervision of employees against productivity, quality, and animal husbandry practices.

Qualifications:
Obtained a college degree in an agriculture-related field (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, preferred, but not required)
Prior knowledge and experience in one or more of cattle production segments (cow-calf, stocker, cattle feeding) is preferred

The **Perdue Pathways Program** is designed to develop talented individuals into future leaders in the company's live operations management field.
Our 24-month program, combines hands-on training by direct observation and shadowing, learning and development sessions, continuous improvement projects, and a series of structured rotations. You will be fully immersed and actively engage in all aspects of live operations. Upon successful completion of the program, the Pathways Participant will have the opportunity to transition into a supervisor role.
During your first 12 months, you will rotate through and engage with key areas of the Perdue Farms organization, gaining broad exposure and hands-on experience. Upon successful completion of the rotation, the anticipated next step would be a supervisor role. The second year of the program focuses on your continued growth, featuring dedicated mentorship, a personalized development plan, leadership training, and participation in talent reviews. This comprehensive program is designed to prepare you not only for your immediate role but to support long-term career success at Perdue Farms.
Expectations -
In this position, you will be offered the opportunity to learn and develop skills vital for a career in Live operations; include, flock advisor, area supervisor, assistant hatchery manager, hatchery manager, feedmill manager.

**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for Quality and Production requirements. Initiate programs to accomplish the best possible hatchability with a healthy chick.
+ Responsible for managing, scheduling, and coordinating delivery of processed chicks to operations complex. This will require communication with growout.
+ Be able to perform any and all jobs within the hatchery.
+ Responsible for maintaining inventories, equipment, parts, and supplies as needed for operations.
+ Responsible for managing the processing room during processing hours.
+ Responsible for the QC role at the facility including box counts, plating, breakouts, and other items that are required to be completed.
+ Maintain a safe working environment.
**Minimum Education**
+ Completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university within 24 months of the Pathways program starting.
+ Program starts in June 2026 will accept applications from the following graduation years: May 2026, December 2025, May 2025, December 2024, and May 2024
+ Bachelor's degree in Feed Science and Management, Agriculture, Agribusiness Management or Business Administration, Poultry Science, Animal Science.

**Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements**
+ Must be physically able to work in all locations including hatcheries, feed mills, chicken houses and processing plants.
+ Exposed to seasonal weather conditions as well as significant amount of airborne dust, feathers, when in a plant environment: Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
+ May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
+ May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
+ May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
+ May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility.
+ Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
+ Exposure to chicken manure and associated odors, including ammonia, especially in the production houses.
+ Required to perform moderate physical exertion to include pushing pulling and lifting up to 75 lbs.
+ Must be able to climb to a height of 30' as well as significant amount of bending, lifting and stooping.

Primary Purpose
Our ManagementTrainee Program is designed to develop future leaders by providing hands-on experience in key areas of our business. Program Structure
