The Safety Coordinator collaborates with safety management and operations to review trend analyses, provide data interpretation, and create monthly reports that are used by executive management. This position will support remote safety staff with general reporting and compliance, training and data entry and analysis of reports and trends. What You Will Do:

Responsible for development, generation, analysis, and interpretation of safety and other related data to identify performance trends; recommendation and implementation of training programs or other programs to improve safety and compliance in all aspects of our business.
Maintains records, reports, and documents required to meet company and regulatory requirements including injuries, near misses, training, etc.
Manage safety prequalification process for subcontractors
Maintain training records for the safety & craft departments. Coordinate (and occasionally provide) safety training to staff.
Maintain department intranet pages and data and file storage protocols for department
Manage department calendars, schedule meetings and conference calls, including all associated logistics.
Develop a working understanding of the departmental budget, managing check requests, process invoices and determine correct location to code expenses

Job Description Summary
The Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager (RSM) at Sunbelt Rentals is responsible for overseeing all aspects of occupational safety management at assigned branch locations, implementation and adherence of safety policies and programs, and communicating safety issues to the National Safety Director and/or VP of Safety and Risk Management.

The position will also:
Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve organizational performance
Oversee the overall integrity and quality of all Sunbelt Rentals safety protocols at individual branches within their assigned geographical area
Conduct PC safety compliance inspections and audits in accordance with scheduled program utilizing dedicated audit criteria including employee training, facility regulatory compliance, vehicle fleet / DOT compliance, shop and equipment rental fleet compliance.
Work with Branch Managers (BM) to assign the correct Safety Coordinator to the location.
Provide training and guidance to Safety Coordinators in each Branch to ensure a consistent approach is taken regarding policies and procedures.
Identify deficiencies found during inspections; provides written evaluation of inspection with corrective action requirements; assist Branch Managers & Service Managers in mandating time period for completion of corrective actions.
Responsible for delivering safety training modules to employees on an ongoing basis.
Assist Branch Safety Coordinators as necessary with completion of required training, safety meeting coordination and completion, and maintenance of Safety Training & Documentation Manual.
Responsible for tracking and trending Branches in their respected areas to identify which locations are adhering to the Sunbelt Rentals Leading Indicator Program and which areas need attention due an increase in lagging data.
Responsible for working with Regional Vice Presidents (RVP) to develop an annual strategic SH&E Business Plan addressing prior year performance of the Region as well as annual targets for the Calendar and Fiscal Year.
Distribute a weekly report to their RVP and District Managers describing the 1) Number of Recordable and First Aid Injuries, 2) Number of VIRs 3) Number of Near Misses, 4) Trends in the Region.
Lead monthly Safety Coordinator Phone Call for all Coordinators in the region.
Develop agenda for and lead the annual Safety Coordinator Boot Camp in the Region
Train and monitor staff on Sunbelt Rentals Behavior Based Safety Tools.
Support BMs and Safety Coordinators in the investigation of all incidents and appropriate near-misses while assisting the BM in completion of reporting requirements and follows up as necessary to support the claims managers.
Active participation in monthly branch safety meetings, as well as providing assistance to BM/Service Manager in conducting Safety Stand Down meetings.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of 5 years working with Safety, Health and Environmental Management Systems and implementation of safety programs
Preferred Safety Certification - OHST, CHST, SMS, GSP

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in EH&S, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
Master's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment performing Environmental, Health and Safety activities or similar related experience.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Professional certifications (, CSP, CIH or CHMM, etc.) preferred.

The Safety Manager works independently to perform multiple tasks, supporting many disciplines within the field Rigging & Crating group to help ensure that all areas are working efficiently and without risk of personal injury or impact to the facilities and equipment. Primary responsibility is to support the incident and injury-free field operation of all MEI sites and promote MEI's safety culture.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively executes and maintains all MEI EHS policies, guidelines, procedures and programs related to and in support of MEI's safety culture, regulatory changes and new business growth.
Supports MEI sites with all MEI, customer, and OSHA required training (Site Specific, Protocol, OSHA, Forklift, Etc.).
Provide program technical and administrative support in areas such as design-in-safety, risk assessment, job safety analysis, investigation and resolution, development and programming of EHS systems, and integrating EHS practices into operations processes.
Work collectively with Incident Review Board (IRB) and Site management to manage all incidents and accident cases thru investigations and root cause analysis, including working directly with Occupational Health clinics and Insurance carriers.
Manage site incident prevention program (SIPPS), Hot-work permits, Confined Space, HAZCOM, Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS's), and other applicable safety regulations.
Conduct routine site audits of all Equipment, Materials, Work practices, and Procedures.
As needed develop and prepare safety work instructions, procedures and job hazard analyses (JHA's).
Conduct daily audits and approval of Pre-task plans and job hazard analyses (JHA's).
Conduct routine inspections and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.
Follow On-The-Job-Injury (OJI) protocol to include full injury claims management processes from initial and on-going communications with Workers Comp carrier, injured employee, occupational medicine facility and treatment specialist i.e. physical therapy, thru to closure of claim.
Prepares and maintains all administrative record keeping and other administrative tasks as needed, such as EHS meetings, Reports, OSHA logs, Incident Review Board (IRB) reports and Audits.
Address and document all Safety violations by MEI personnel immediately.
Provides ongoing safety and health related training and required certifications for existing employees and new hires.
Reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and financial losses.
Identify and assess conditions which could produce accidents and financial losses and evaluating the potential extent of resulting injuries.
Educate team members on accident-prevention and loss-control systems and programs for incorporation into operational policies of the organization.
Develops and maintains relationships with outside firms and organizations such as vendors, OSHA, fire/police departments, etc.
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 5 years proven Environmental Health & Safety experience or Safety experience in construction or Manufacturing industries.
Minimum 5 years EHS experience at a multi-site organization.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with OSHA standards.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in MS Office Suite.

The manager will serve as a key driver of a safety-first culture, promoting reliability and professional growth across a diverse workforce that includes entry-level operators, engineers, and plant leadership. Additionally, this role will provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineering and operations teams to support safe and efficient plant performance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Collaborate with plant leadership to align safety initiatives with operational goals.
* Own and maintain the plant's PSM program in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119.for safe operation and compliance of the facility.
* Own EPA RMP program and maintain compliance
* Work with company and consultants to deliver on PSM and RMP materials required
* Conduct and lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), including HAZOP and What-If studies.
* Ensure timely completion of Management of Change (MOC) processes.
* Oversee mechanical integrity programs for critical equipment.
* Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for process-related events.
* Maintain and update operating procedures and ensure employee training compliance.
* Interface with regulatory agencies and ensure audit readiness.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education
* Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
* Minimum 4+ years of experience in process safety, chemical manufacturing, or high-hazard industries.
* Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and EPA Risk Management Program (RMP).
* Proven experience leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) using methodologies like HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, or LOPA.
* Demonstrated success in developing and implementing process safety systems and risk mitigation strategies.
* Expertise in root cause analysis, incident investigation, and corrective action planning.
* Familiarity with reliability engineering principles, asset integrity, and mechanical integrity programs.
* Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and control systems.
* Proficiency in process safety software tools

SUMMARY
The Safety Representative position has a critical role for the company. The ideal candidate will review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors. He or she may conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of individuals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
Order suspension of activities that pose threats to workers' health or safety.
Investigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.
Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
Collaborate with engineers or physicians to institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.
Consistently update Health and Safety Plans (HASP), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) other safety documentation, and compliance objectives as needed.
Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and ensure all applicable employees have all appropriate training certifications and experience for their respective roles (field and office).
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled safety audits at all job sites; must have the ability to enforce safety program and report any safety violations.
Assist with daily safety checklists for tools, equipment, and other materials and fleet as needed.
Collaborate with the Project Manager and staff (field and office) to reduce the project's risk exposure to the greatest degree possible; ensure contract activities meet all health and safety performance criteria.
Handle incident reports and investigations and train staff on how to mitigate future occurrences; hazard recognition and mitigation across the board.
Promote a zero-accident environment for all company activities.
Assist with coordination of drug and alcohol testing as needed.
Ensure compliance with the Safety Program, OSHA, company operating policies and procedures, and provide for safe working environments for employees.
Monitor operational compliance with contracts, and Company established policies.
Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the executives with recommendation for resolution.
Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the company or as directed by executives.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
5 years experience in preparing and enforcing safety programs, unless a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), then 3 years experience.
Experience writing Health and Safety Plans (HASP's) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's).
OSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalent and maintain competency through 24 hours of formal safety and health related coursework every four years.
In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, OSHA, federal, state, and city environmental and safety regulations and practices.
Ability to do public speaking, for safety training purposes.
Four-year college degree (or equivalent electrical construction-related work experience) preferred.
